| Taking advantage of a sunny morning, some of the queens brought the kits to a place known as the Broken Pools. One of those young cats was Oakkit, who quietly and closely followed his mother with an unexpressive face. Despite his apparent lack of emotion, the ginger tom was actually excited about this trip. If all goes smoothly, today will be the day the blue-eyed kitten will start learning to swim.
His tail flicked when they finally arrived and he turned his face towards his momma. He didn't say a word, but the she-cat knew his son and she softly nodded, giving Oakkit permission the approval he needed to start trying the puddles. The chubby tom stumbled towards the closest pool and dipped one of his paws in the water to check if it was shallow enough for him. A half-smirk crossed his face for less than a second and, slowly, Oakkit entered the pool until the water reached his white-furred chin. The kitten tried to stretch his paws and bring them back to him to push his body, but his moves were slow and with every move, water splashed on his face, making him sneeze. Ugh... seems like it isn't as easy as I thought... Oakkit thought, still struggling to get swimming right. At least water wasn't uncomfortable to him thanks to his glossy red fur, characteristic of Riverclan cats. ______________________________________ Oaksoul of Riverclan ↠↠ Tier 2 Warrior ↠↠ #3333ccFerntwist of Windclan ↠↠ Tier 1 Warrior ↠↠ #0099cc |

| Cloudkit eyed the water suspiciously. "Is it cold, Oakkit?" asked. but then, without waiting for an answer, it extended a paw and touched the water. A chill ran through him and all his fur stood on end. Letting out a startled squeal, she pulled away, her eyes wide. "I don't like!" he complained. he then looked at one of the queens and meowed "I think I'm going to stay here." ______________________________________ "When you are a member of Riverclan, you are more humble than the smallest kit, more eager to learn than the most enthusiastic apprentice, more braver than any warrior, and more committed to your clan than any leader. | Thanks to his paws still touching the mud underwater, Oakkit managed to turn his body back to the fellow kitten. He shrugged his shoulders slightly as an answer: kinda... he thought without really speaking a word. The young tom tried her luck in the water but the tom quickly noticed by his expression that Cloudkit didn't enjoy it very much.
At first, the red-furred tom didn't attempt to help him. He just watched the young kitten run towards the queen, refusing to enter the pools. It wasn't Oakkit problem if he didn't want to try swimming. However, before he could continue practising, he noticed his mother's glare at the back of his neck. The queen looked at him disapprovingly and with a flick of her tail she ordered the kitten to go and help Cloudkit. Though his face remained unexpressive as always, Oakkit was annoyed to be forced to interact with other cats. But he couldn't say no to momma.
Slowly and clumsily, the red kitten dragged himself out of the pool, his fur soaked. He walked to meet Cloudkit but refused to talk. Instead, he stood next to him and bumped Cloudkit with his shoulders, attempting to motivate him to "swim" with him. ______________________________________ Oaksoul of Riverclan ↠↠ Tier 2 Warrior ↠↠ #3333ccFerntwist of Windclan ↠↠ Tier 1 Warrior ↠↠ #0099cc |
