It was the morning and Curlyfluff, having an unusual amount of energy decided he wanted to go on a dawn hunt. Having grabbed his best friend to join him, the two of them made their way through the territory. It didn't take long before he caught a scent and crouching down, he spotted a bird near the base of a tree. Stalking forward, he took his time making his way towards the prey. Pouncing, he landed squarely on the bird and before it had time to frantically try to flap its way out from his grasp, he gave it a swift bite to the neck. "Looks like today will be a good hunting day!" he purred to Firefly with a wide grin as he brought back his catch.

Firefly smiled at Curlyfluffs optimism, the bird he swiftly hunted down and dispatched dangling in his jaws. It didnt need to be said that he had done it perfectly, though she should have been openly praising her best friend more. Maybe next time...

Russet ears perked, and a scarred head tilted in the direction of the brush rustling. Crouching low, Firefly made sure to be downwind before launching herself forward; A rookie mistake. There was no real prey in the brush, but a venom filled adder. A growl formed in her throat as she barely dodged its fangs. "Curlyfluff!" She wasn't sure why she called for Curlyfluff. She could definitely handle this on her own.

Ears perking at Firefly's call, her voice wasn't masked in it's usual ho-hum sort of ton, and making his way hastily over to her he understood why. Watching as she was able to take a blow at the snake, he jumped forward and did the same, striking it square on its head as hard as he could. Luckily for him it'd been a smaller one and the force he'd used had finished it off. For a few moments he kept his amber gaze locked onto the snake before looking back up to Firefly, a smile now on his muzzle.

"Guess we can take this back too, right?" he huffed, looking at the deceased reptile that laid under his paws. He wasn't sure if snake was even any good, but decided maybe it was worth a shot. Not to mention the fact that all prey was a blessing from StarClan and who was he to be picky about how any of it tasted?
