It's Always Dark [O]

Dusk was beginning to close in on the day when Darkspirit realized how far he'd wandered from camp. He raced back, a plump rat in his jaws, trying to beat the sun before it disappeared behind the trees and night covered the sky. Foxdung foxdung foxdung! He thought as he used the Thunderpath instead of having to fight through thick bushes. It wasn't that he couldn't, but a clear path was always faster. What he wouldn't give to be a Windclan cat right now. He was sure to avoid monsters when they came barreling down the path, but they became less and less concerning the more time he spent around them. They didn't truly seem like they wanted to hurt anyone, maybe it was just accidents that cats died to them?

A dark gray form caught his eye as a raccoon came dashing toward him, clearly interested in his rat. Darkspirit growled and spat the rat onto the grass beside the thunderpath. The duotoned cat whirled on the raccoon, surprising the critter, before taking a nasty swipe to the shoulder. "You're near the wrong territory, Ringtail!" Darkspirit hissed before he launched himself violently at the raccoon. He wasn't afraid of these things. As a matter of fact, he was grateful that his only problem was a raccoon and not a dog.
