Once More [closed]

"Hey um- Batsong, Coyotegrin... I'm getting ready to go." The deputy called across camp, almost hesitant to leave it's familiarity. It had only been a sunrise or two, but he'd already began to settle back at home, relishing the little things, like the softness of the camp's sandy floor.  

Just barely poking his head out of the camp's entrance, he was greeted with harsh, bitter winds, stinging nothing but his nose. It was moments like this when he was grateful for the protection his pelt provided him, he was nearly unaffected by the chills of leaf-bare weather. Straining his eyes, he struggled to make out the faint ridge that split their territory, made almost invisible by a thin layer of snow covering the ground. He and Coyotegrin were going to check on it, bringing Batsong along just in case something happened - and while they were out they could look around for herbs to replenish the medicine den. Batsong and Birchpaw would probably appreciate it.

Ducking back into camp, he stood patiently, waiting for the two to join him. They wouldn't take long, he knew, but he couldn't help but look upwards, trying to figure out the placement of the sun behind the clouds.

Batsong's ears perked as smallbean called her. He was ready to go already? She scrambled to her paws not wanting to keep him waiting any longer than she already had. After all he was doing this to help her out.

She smiled clearly happy to see him though conciously trying to make it not so obvious.

"am he-here" she answered
