Marshmallow hadn't taken her multicoloured gaze off of her children ever since they got to fourtrees. Their eyes, now their true colours instead of the kit-blue she had gotten used to, she was happy to see them exploring their world, even if all they knew was this hollow. Now it was time for her to explain some things, like how they got here, why they're here, and why they should trust family over anything else.

Though, she was a little nervous about her teachings being... Concerning for some cats. They always were mistaken. So she was planning to go just outside of the hollow to talk to her precious little kits. She was happy that she didn't have to carry them, anymore, but she knew all six of them following her at once would lead to suspicion- the last thing she wanted- so she made sure to tell them to come separately, one at a time, leaving enough distance between them so that they wouldn't draw suspicion.

When questioned 'Why?' as small kits do, her response was simple, easy, and quick. "Because mother knows best, my dears."

So Marshmallow waited, Cicadakit having followed her immediately out of the hollow, her most loyal daughter, it seemed, innocent and pretty, with a smile bright enough to lift anyone's hopes. She kept commenting about how she wanted to be just like 'mama'. It made her overwhelmingly happy, she never thought she'd adore kits so much, much less kits that she never wanted in the first place.

Marshmallow curled her tail around her paws, and as Cicadakit asked her a question she licked her forehead with a purr. "Because we need some quiet bonding time."

CICADAKIT

Cicadakit adored Mama. Her favourite cat ever, her siblings a close second. Mama taught her so much! Mama was always willing to play with her, and tell her stories about their history. She didn't know that Marshmallow made most of it up to fit her own views, 'cause Mama would never do that!

To put it short, Cicadakit's view on her dearest Mama, was that she was perfect, and no cat could convince her otherwise. Especially Soottail. Even though Mama's mama had never tried to speak with her, much less convince her that Mama was not perfect, Cicadakit always tried to glare at Soottail, but she wasn't too sure which black and white cat was Soottail.

Today, Mama told her to meet her outside of fourtrees. Cicadakit couldn't remember anything about ShadowClan camp, of course, she was very, very young when the ground growled and hissed and spat. All she remembered was that she was without Mama for awhile, and awhile was way too long, she never wanted to be away from Mama ever again.

So, she did what Mama told her not to, and followed her straight away, she knew it would be suspicious, and she knew that this wasn't the very loyal-est thing to do, but she couldn't bare to be away from Mama, she couldn't bare to let Mama go away from where she could see her.

Cicadakit sat down next to Mama. At least Mama didn't angry, she seemed amused, and an amused Mama was much better than an angry Mama. "Why're we here?" She asked, looking up at her with large, yellow and blue eyes. The response was simple, but Cicadakit found no issue with it. "Okay! I hope my siblings turn up." She stretched her front legs, stretching out her small kit-claws, and letting out a squeaky kit-yawn.

Sunkit was next to join the little meeting, slipping out of Fourtrees once he was sure the coast was clear. The tomkit had certainly grown, but perhaps not in the way Marshmallow might’ve been hoping. He was already tall and lanky, his skinny frame every inch a WindClan cat. “I’m here!” he mewed, reaching his mother and sister.

Fangkit walked through the trees, her eyes widening when she saw the height that the trees reached. She saw her siblings in a hollow, and walked towards them. Her slender body was barely shorter than her brother's, but he was too tall.

She studied her surroundings, making sure she could see every spot in the hollow. She sat and waited near her family, looking for anything interesting. Her amber eyes only caught birds high in the sky, her fluffy ears only hearing branches clattering against each other, and her twitching nose smelled leaves and fresh wind.

It's so calm and beautiful.. Fangkit thought. The forest made her feel so safe, yet she felt as if she needed to race across a wide and open area, not having to care about trees or brambles she could run into.

Amberkit followed after Fangkit, slipping out of the clearing and down to the hollow where her siblings waited with her mother. She didn't really understand the need for all this secrecy, but she was excited to be out in the big wide world, under the thick canopy of the trees.

Applekit raced through the trees, terrified he was going to miss his mother's super-important family bonding meeting. He'd been meaning to be on his way, but it wasn't his fault he got a bit... distracted. There were so many cool things to look at out here, surely he couldn't be blamed for wanting to look at each and every one, right? Anyway, he was so fast he'd probably get there before everyone else had even thought about arriving. He was faster than anyone, even those stinky, prey-stealing Windclan cats Mama had told him to avoid. He sped up as he reached his family, skidding to a stop and nearly crashing into Cicadakit.

"I'm here!" He exclaimed, flanks heaving from the effort of the run. "I betcha didn't know I could run so fast! I'm like a lightning bolt! Watch!" The young tom began to run circles around his mother, desperate to show her what he thought was the coolest thing ever. After a few laps he collapsed at her paws, his yellow-green eyes gazing up at her with a look that requested, no, demanded, her approval.

"Did'ya see that?" He asked in case by some miracle she hadn't.

Marshmallow was happy to see most of her kits were gathered around her... All except Poppykit, but she shrugged it off, feeling he'd come later. Besides, her kits were at the age where all they wanted to do was run around and cause trouble, at least she'd be there for them at that stage. Unlike someone... She did wonder where Soottail was, as she hadn't seen her since she came to Fourtrees. Was she dead?

She whole-heartedly hoped so. So much that she'd wish she'd seen it with her very own eyes, she hoped it was painful.

Shaking away those non-kit-friendly thoughts, she waited for her kits to settle down. "Yes, yes, dear, I am very impressed by your speed..." She purred, though her tail tip twitched slightly as she noticed very WindClan-y characteristics showing through her kits. Oh, bah, fox off StarClan, I'll raise my kits as true ShadowClan warriors...

"You will be the swiftest hunter in the marshlands, I'm sure." Marshmallow curled her tail around her paws. "Seems Poppykit hasn't arrived yet, but how are you interacting with other clans? Staying away from the disasterly WindClan, I hope. Making lots of friends?" She reached to lick all of her kit's heads affectionately, but she'd admit that she wasn't sure if that was the right thing to do with kits.

Cicadakit watched as her siblings entered came into their little group, as each one entered, she booped each of them on the nose with her paw. She was very calmy sitting proudly next to her dearest mama, a bright smile on her mostly dark-furred face. She was just waiting for Applekit and Poppykit, now and Applekit came running in with a speed only known to yucky WindClan cats, almost crashing into her. "Hey!" She squealed, stumbling back.

She glanced up at her mother as she spoke. "Always by your side, mama." She purred, leaning into her black and white fur. "Don't wanna lose you like last time..."

Sunkit wrinkled his nose and stuck out his tongue when Cicadakit touched him. “Hey! Keep your paws to yourself, sis! Ugh!” The little tom rolled his eyes. Girls were so annoying. Then Applekit arrived and he rolled his eyes again, but remained silent. If his brother wanted to make a fool out of himself that was his business. Sunkit would sit still and attempt to match the posture he’d seen in warriors like Nightstar and Sablestrike.
