The sun was high overhead, warming the ground despite the late leaf-fall chill in the air. Brackenwing had dragged herself to the edge of fourtrees, to the edge of Windclan's little encampment, thoroughly fed up with sitting beneath the great oaks. The sun felt nicer against her pelt than the shade did, and from here she could look at the rolling moors in the distance, even if her leg prevented her from being out there with her clanmates. Brackenwing had to admit it was frustrating, the pain and discomfort had been a constant since Birchpaw had half-carried her to fourtrees, and the proximity to so many other cats left the marbled tabby in a particularly grouchy mood that she was trying not to take out on her clanmates. At least it was working... Mostly. For the moment.
Brackenwing's ears twitched at the sound of approaching paws, head turning. "Hey, Coyotegrin," She hadn't seen much of the older warrior recently, with her being kept busy and Brackenwing mostly trying to avoid the seemingly endless commotions that happened around fourtrees, but she was glad to see her friend regardless.

Coyotegrin waved her tail in greeting to her friend as she joined her on the outskirts of the circle of tall, unwaivering trees. How screwed would the clans be if there was another quake and all four came crashing down on all of them? she didn't really want to bonder that and instead, rather take her mind off things. She settled down and curled her tails over her paws. "Hey Brackenwing, how are you injuries faring? I am sure that it must be difficult to heal in this chaos. I apologize for not checking in on you sooner. It seems as if I am a second deputy and also the only WindClan cat Nightstar calls upon for any trouble." She chuckled, reminded of the time Fuzzpaw decided to chomp down on the leader's leg. Shaking her head, she turned her attention back to Brackenwing.

"Batsong and Birchpaw say it's healing, at least... Not as quick as I would like, of course. And I'd prefer our own camp to this, but I think every cat must feel that way." She responded. "Sounds like you've had your paws full." Brackenwing's whiskers twitched, "What did Nightstar want now?" Brackenwing could guess, based on her personal experience, someone had to have bothered the tall, dark tom. The thought was exasperating, but whatever happened hadn't been serious enough to have immediately reached her ears. Or maybe it was something unrelated to her clanmates managing to annoy the Shadowclan leader. She hoped it wasn't that, for once.
"Busyness aside, how have you and the kits been?" Brackenwing asked, hoping that at least would be a bit less stressful to talk about.
