Another day, another adventure (c)

Sitting inside the rubber-legged beast that transported him and his humans to different locations, Cheddar looked out of one of its shiny clear barriers. On him was his usual sparkly collar and today they had also put on his harness, for he assumed it was to keep him safe when they traveled around, or something like that. It hadn't felt like too long since they'd moved here, but the housecat knew what it meant when they began to pack up the boxes and put their stuff into the moving beast; a new place to explore awaited them! While he found part of himself feeling a bit gloomy about leaving, he prompted himself to recall of all the fun he'd had. He'd made so many friends and was grateful for all of them, he'd gotten the chance to learn about the clans and their way of life which was something he'd never experienced before, and he'd even been able to live with a clan cat! Speaking of which, he hoped that Beechfang was doing alright... He hadn't gotten to formally say goodbye to her, but he assumed that she was back with her own family where she was probably happier than being with him, and still hoped that she was staying safe out there in the wilderness.

Looking over his shoulder at his humans who had spoke something to him, their tones filled with eagerness, the cross-eyed tom replied to them with a chirp of excitement. Bracing himself as the vehicle began to rumble under his paws, Cheddar turned back to the place in which he'd called home, even if only for a short while. "Farewell!" he called out. It wasn't like anyone could hear him, but it felt like the right thing to do.

Soon enough, they began to roll away, onto their next destination, wherever that might be. It was a bitter-sweet moment, but Cheddar made sure to remind himself to celebrate the endings, for they lead to new beginnings.
