Willowpaw's Moonstone Journey

Plumleaf sat outside the apprentice den, her tail resting on her paws and a bundle of herbs on the ground beside her. Another apprentice would be traveling to the moonstone to share in the joy of meeting Starclan for the first time.

“Willowpaw?” She called as she stepped into the den, nudging Willowpaw awake. “It’s time to go. I’ve brought you some traveling herbs for the journey.”

She waited patiently for Willowpaw to finish them, then led the way out of camp. The trek to the moonstone was peaceful, and before long they had arrived at Highstones.

“Stay close, it’ll be hard to see until we get to the moonstone.” Plumleaf cautioned, leading the way into the darkened cavern. They padded silently through the tunnel, until finally it opened up into the cave containing the Moonstone.

“Lie down beside the stone and touch your nose to it. Close your eyes, and your dreams will take you to Starclan.”

The traveling herbs were bitter, yet Willowpaw gulped them down obediently - she was too excited to make a fuss. She followed in the pawsteps of Plumleaf - and many other cats before her on the long journey to Highstones, Mothermouth and the Moonstone. The tunnel was a tight squeeze - Willowpaw was convinced she was going to get stuck, but she got through without trouble.

And now, finally, she was standing beneath the Moonstone. She followed Plumleaf’s directions and lay down, touching her nose to the cool surface.

A slender tabby came prancing out into the open, beaming from ear to ear. This was to be her first time being chosen to guide one of the apprentices of her former Clan! She was so excited! SkyClan had changed so much since she had been there, everyone was as grumpy as Bloodstar was now! Although she felt an energy in this apprentice similar to her own. Oh, stars she hoped she kept that happiness!

"Hiya! My name is Rabbitchaser! I think I'm supposed to be answering your questions about being a warrior? Something about the all-knowing wisdom of StarClan or something. I don't know, everyone here acts like they have some sort of stick up their tail. Anyway, what do you wanna know?"

Willowpaw was, to be fair, kind of... surprised about the Starclan cat which had come to meet her. To be honest, she had been expecting a all-knowing and grand, but a little stuck-up cat like there were in all the stories the elders had told her as a kit. Despite that, Willowpaw decided that she quite liked Rabbitchaser; she seemed like a great cat.

Willowpaw stepped forward. "Well... I don't really know which questions to ask..." she mumbled nervously, for a second overwheled by the sheer amazingness that she was standing right in front of a real starclan cat, "So what can you tell me?"
