Desperate and Lonely [o]

Things were going by very fast lately. From losing her mother, almost drowning in the Deep Marshes, being saved and brought to ShadowClan by Leopardsun, and then being given the honor of a Clan name... later to be given the apprentice rank not soon after. If this was going to be Harrierpaw's new home, she'd like to slow it down a little and properly greet her clanmates.

Harrierpaw padded out of the apprentice den and into the middle of camp where she sat, waiting for literally anyone. She met a few already who she'd love to get to know more, and welcomed any cat to come and speak to her. And what better way to force others into noticing her than being in their way?

Burdockpaw was settling into her apprenticeship surprisingly well. It felt different, but more intriguing. It was intimidating in the fact that she now has to interact with her clanmates more. Talk more. It was a requirement. When she spotted a lone apprentice sitting in camp, she walked over slowly and sat next to them. "Hello."

Harrierpaw didn’t have Shadowclan blood, or at least he didn’t think she did, but she was still his clanmate, and he had missed her ceremony. He feared that it would send a message that he didn’t welcome her into the clan, after all he had been present at every meeting and ceremony since he became an apprentice. He needed to apologize to her for that… Well, it wasn’t like she knew any of that, Harrierpaw probably hadn’t even noticed his absence in the first place. If Sablepaw was being honest with himself, he was just trying to give himself a reason to talk to her. Stars, this is hopeless, just go up to her and say something. At least she wasn't alone, that only made his choice easier. Padding over to the two, Sablepaw dipped his head respectfully. "Good evening Harrierpaw, Burdockpaw." It felt so odd adding "paw" to the end of a warrior's name, even though she technically wasn't a warrior anymore. "How are you settling in?" His question was more directed at Harrierpaw, though it strangely applied to Burdockpaw too.

Hold on... Did she hear that right? This cat was an apprentice? Burdockpaw looked like a warrior. A seasoned one at that! There was visible confusion on the she-cats face but she returned the greeting. "Hi, I'm Harrierpaw. I'm a bit new to all of this since I kind of just got here but... can we be friends?"
Just as she asked, a familiar face greeted her, and Harrierpaw's ears perked up. "Sablepaw!" She purred. Her fondness for him came from him giving her food when she first arrived (and it was absolutely delicious). "I have a lot to learn, but those I've met have been kind so far. I even have my own mentor now! Marshmallow seems nice so far. I like her." She met Marshmallow in passing at her apprentice ceremony, but Harrierpaw felt she was a nice cat even with knowing nothing about her yet. "How have you been? She asked Sablepaw, though it hadn't been too long since they last spoke.
