Birchpaw rifled through the stock of herbs in the medicine den, mentally taking note of them. Leafbare was coming, along with sickness, so the Clan needed to be as prepared as possible. The apprentice gave a heavy sigh at the thought; they had never experienced a Leafbare, but with how open WindClan was to the skies, a sickness spreading was inevitable with the cold. They ran through the herbs they would need the most of in their head over and over to make sure they wouldn't lose them, stalking out of the den with a serious expression. This was serious business, after all.

Birchpaw stopped at the entrance to camp and sat down, tucking their tail around their paws. Raising their voice, they yowled to camp, "I'm going out to look for herbs! Anyone is welcome to join me, I'll need a few extra paws. Follow me if you'd like to come." With that, they got up and turned on their heel, striding out of camp. Hopefully someone would actually join them, it would be awkward if they had to carry so many herbs back by themself.

Silverwing perked up as she heard someone call out across the camp. They were the other medicine cat, that much was certain, but she couldn't help wondering if they had ever met. She couldn't think of a single time that they had ever interacted, which meant it was time to change that! Silverwing eagerly followed the medicine cat out of camp, ready to make herself useful. It was only fair that she help the cat gather herbs, most of them would probably be wasted on Silverwing anyway. It would be good to at least re stock what she would be wasting ahead of time. "Hi, I'm Silverwing!" She meowed as they wandered the territory. "So, what exactly are we looking for?"

Batsong heard her appretnice and quickly went across camp to go join Birchpaw and now it had looked like silver wing had also joined as well.

The med cat nodded happy that her apprentice was taking the initiative and lead on trying to get more herbs.

The would for sure need them if this winter was gonna be as bad as the last one.

"Ill join she purred eagerly. Birchpaw had learned so much by now and she was pleased at how much they had picked up so quickly they were a true natural at this

Birchpaw's call from the camp entrance pulled Smallbean's attention away from his pelt, which he had been thoroughly grooming until that moment. Deciding that he'd probably be a help to the medicine cat apprentice, he jumped to his paws, cursing his sudden movements when he felt a throb in his head. He'd followed Batsong's orders since he'd gotten his concussion, but even though he was mostly okay to go about his duties[besides in-depth battle training], he was still occasionally bothered by headaches. This must be how Brackenwing felt.

Steadily trotting over to the camp entrance, he realized he made the fourth member of the patrol- half of the patrol were medicine cats. So it seemed he'd be useful for protection along with his knowledge. "Um.. I can help out... If you don't mind" He meowed, following the group as they emerged out onto the moors.
