The smell of Twoleg rubbish was not something that was foreign to Tycho - growing up in the more urban areas, he had on more than one occasion fished a meal out of the garbage even. It wasn't something he did often, mind you, but occasionally they put some really good smelling stuff in those tiny dens and it was hard to resist. Tycho wasn't in search of a meal, today, but the scent of the Carrionplace had still piqued his curiosity enough to draw him closer, and over scent-lines not unlike the ones he'd crossed near that little creek.

Eventually, the source of the scent was in his eyesight, and as the pale tom ambled closer, his gaze flicked over it with undisguised marvel. Piles of... stuff, many tail-lengths high, and many more wide, and they were all over the place..! Caution abandoned, Tycho sprinted forward, leaping up on to a large, white square box sort of thing with a circular hole in the front. It was smooth beneath his paws, and warmed by the sun. He stood there for several moments, sniffing the air. Crows circled overhead, somewhere nearby, and he watched them, until a flicker of movement drew his gaze sidelong, and a rat scampered along the ground, until it was just below the strange metal box on which Tycho sat.

Now, Tycho wasn't particularly hungry, but the audacity this overgrown mouse had, to show itself without a care in the world in broad daylight, was simply unacceptable. It hadn't seen him, that much was clear, and as the white tomcat leaned over the edge to peer downward, he watched as it sat up on its rear legs with a morsel of food in its tiny paws. It was almost cute. Unfortunately, however, it was also lunch.

Tycho crept closer to the edge, claws sheathed and making no noise on the smooth surface, and once he'd angled his body correctly, he dropped down on top of the rat... and it was dead before it even really knew what was happening. Above him, the crows cawwww, cawwwwwed in unison, as if cheering him on, or... perhaps considering an ambush, to steal his hard earned prey. His river-blue eyes watched them once more as the rat's body cooled at his paws.

Carrionplace was not a place that was patrolled too frequently, the risk of disease, and the rats that came from the place made it far too unappealing to be consistent. But the good thing about leaving the place alone was that the rats would grow fat and lazy, they would forget that they were hunted for food in desperate times, and that is when the best work was done. So when he heard a cacophony of crows cawing, and the crash and bang of something larger disrupting the peace of Carrionplace, Nightstar thought fit to investigate.

Melting into the shadows the tom slithered into Carrionplace, watching as a rogue, with a dead rat at its paws was staring up at the crows that had alerted Nightstar to the stranger's existence. His claws unsheathed as he stalked behind the stranger, moving into a crouch before he surged forwards slamming into the back of the cat and sending them both forwards. Nightstar snarled viciously, "This is Shadowclans land! Get out!" leaping away and turning on his paws to face the rogue in front of him.

As it would turn out, it wasn't the crows that Tycho had to worry about. His ears twisted back at the ever so subtle sound of pawsteps drumming the ground, and he turned his head to look at the moment Nightstar slammed into him. The wind was knocked out of his lungs as his chin clipped the ground, sending stars dancing across his vision.

The pain of his teeth clipping together, and the sudden pounding in his head, was enough to spark moisture in the corner of his eyes. Tycho whipped around beneath the larger cat and writhed free, pushing forward to set his teeth in the ear of his attacker, claws raking chest and neck wherever he could hope to get purchase.

Tycho used Snap + Desperate Blows, dealing 11 (7+4) damage and costing 14 SP.

Nightstar hissed, feeling teeth snap around an ear, and claws following shortly after. Near-frantically, the tom pulled away, losing the tip of an ear in the process, but he wasn't going to lose a life today just because he wanted to keep his ear. Blood oozed from multiple places, and Nightstar wasn't particularly happy about it, and he'd ultimately make it known and he wouldn't be nice about it. Rearing back on his paws, Nightstar brought his paws down on the rogues head, bashing it into the terrain below, hoping that he'd bust this rogues jaw beyond repair, or at least cost him some teeth.

Nightstar used Upright Lock! Dealing 15(12+2+1) damage! And costing 10 Stamina.

Tycho's head bounced off the hard-packed earth as the other cat reared back and smashed into him. His teeth snapped together on his tongue, and immediately he tasted blood. Snarling in panic, he lashed out again and scrambled forward, kicking out behind him as he did. Without waiting to see if the other tom was pursuing, Tycho sprinted back towards safety.

Tycho used Fight and Flee, dealing 8 damage and costing all remaining SP. Tycho has fled the battle.
