The low burble of the creek hummed in Tycho's ears as the white tom picked his way down the bank, hopping expertly from stone to stone, claws steadying his purchase before he moved on again at a steady trot. The young cat had no particular destination, but then, he never really had. His entire life up to this point had been spent doing exactly what he was doing now - traveling, exploring, living, and this was just another of many stops on his eventual wherever.

This one, though, he really had taken a liking to. Tycho had spent most of his life with the rough, hard stone of the Twoleg pathways underpaw, and he found he much preferred the soft, green foliage of this wild expanse. Everything wasn't straight and neat, it was chaos and nature... it was fun. A quiet rumble of thunder made Tycho glance upwards, the grey sky peeking through the tops of the trees as a slow, gentle drizzle began to fall. Water didn't bother him - in fact, he'd followed the river down here, where it branched off to this little creek, and that's where he'd spent the better part of the morning exploring. Still, though... if it was going to rain, it was probably a good idea to find somewhere to hunker down in case it persisted all night. The tiny droplets that beaded and rolled off of his stark white fur now were nothing, but even he didn't want to be soaked to the bone when he finally settled down for the night.

With a quick stretch, he increased his pace, nostrils flaring to draw in - oh, wow, what was that? Tycho stopped dead in his tracks, eyes nearly watering from the strength of the scent marker he'd just crossed. Another cat, clearly... or..? Multiple cats? He tilted his head, curious now, and investigated. It was many cats, layered over one another for a long, long time... and the most recent one was in fact very fresh. How curious. Brow furrowing, the white tom proceeded forward, hunched down along the foliage. Eventually, he was sure, he'd find whoever had done it.

Trufflesnap was on a hunting patrol when the scent of an unfamiliar cat hit her glands. Stalking silently, she made her way through the underbrush and circled around the intruder. The cat was unfamiliar, and didn't smell of another clan. Therefor, there would be zero consequences to her actions... Quietly she climbed a fallen log and watched as the cat strode by her. With a yowl, she lept onto his back, pinning him to the ground and sliding her maw over the back of his neck with a type grip. Pinning the poor, helpless cat that dared to cross Trufflesnap's rage. It was time to let off a little steam...

There were many things that Tycho was good at: climbing, hunting, and, yes, fighting, were all in his skillset... but stealth within the deep green of this forest was not among them, and though he knew he wasn't alone out here, he didn't know exactly how unmatched he was when it came to navigating this territory.

So when out of nowhere, a force slammed into him from above, pinning him with teeth set into the back of his neck, it startled him so badly he let out a very unbecoming yowl of surprise as his legs buckled, sending him to his belly in the grass.

"Ow-" he twisted around to look at his attacker as best he could, noting a white throat and striped ginger cheek. "Can you-" he thrashed, trying to lose her. "Can you not, maybe? A simple-" he grunted, shifting again to get his legs under him, "a simple 'hello' would have sufficed, I think."

Tycho is stunned and cannot attack this turn.

Trufflesnap laughed at the rogue's sarcasm, but it wasn't enough to disuade her. "I'm not really a words cat, I'm a cat of action." She snarled, her teeth barred as she stood over him, malice practically dripping off of her mouth like drool. She growled before gripping her teeth on the shoulder of the intruder, tasting the blood wash into her mouth. It only heightened her frenzy.

Tycho bucked and reared, and felt the weight of the other cat slip away as he surged forward, circling back around with his back raised and tail fluffed. "I don't know what sort of savage place you come from, stranger, but I think they need to teach their kits more manners," he snapped, lowering his head and lashing his tail. He didn't want to fight, especially not this random she-cat he'd never met before, but she appeared to be determined, and clearly she knew the territory better, so even if he fled, she'd probably have an advantage in tracking him down.

That left one option... make it appear like he was too much trouble to bother chasing. Tycho sank down into a crouch and watched her, his own blood dripping from her maw. She looked frenzied, and that made the hair along his spine prickle uneasily. The loner bared his teeth, sucking in a breath before surging forward and slamming into her, dragging his claws down her shoulder. As he did that, he dropped to the ground and swept her forelegs, trying to get her to tumble.

Tycho used Front Paw Strike and Dirty Trick for a total of 12 damage and costing 14 SP.
