Frostednight hovered at the thorny entrance to ThunderClan's camp, the whispers speaking to her in the hushed and quiet tones as usual. Her brain tried to listen, to focus on just one voice to figure out what it was saying. Despite this, she still couldn't pick out with her brain-claws exactly what was being said. It didn't matter how long she would take to decode the messages, she wouldn't stop until the words made sense to her. Turning her multi-colored eyes, Iceheart was walking up. Nightstalker had ordered them to hunt for the ThunderClan cats housing them as well as the ShadowClan cats residing there. The warrior nearly groaned at the thought of not only hunting for her clan, but strangers.

Iceheart had been slow-moving since they’d started living with the ThunderClan cats. It was not that she was hurt or sick, but she simply had no energy. All of her energy was spent worrying about those that they could not find. She hoped that doing some hunting would be good for her and act as a distraction. Frostednight was at least a familiar face.
“Hello,” she mewed to Frostednight and then nodded for them to head out together. She was unused to ThunderClan’s territory, with its thick underbrush that was strangely dry and the light that filtered through the trees above in a way that was brighter than the dark marsh of ShadowClan. The prey was different too. Not many mice or frogs, they instead had birds and squirrels. It was an odd change that did not aid her appetite.
“Do you have any idea where the best hunting spots would be?” Iceheart asked Frostednight as they walked. She stepped over brambles and upturned roots, trying not to lose her footing in the strange grasses.

Frostednight tried ducking through the underbrush along side aiceheart, wincing as thorns pulled at her long flowing fur. As Iceheart's questioning, she shook her head and kept walking in her usual quiet manner. She took a few steps before realizing she should actually probably speak. "No. I didn't mean to scare you, either." She was referencing back to the fateful patrol with the dogs, in which her attempt to make some sort of connection with the brown and white warrior didn't seem to land like she had intended. To Frostednight, it was obvious of what she was referencing, so she need not waste more words clarifying such. Her paw landed on a thorn and she grunted, stopping in her tracks to lift her paw and inspect the damage.

Iceheart, unfortunately, did not know what Frostednight was referencing. She hurried after her when she kept going and mewed, “I don’t recall you ever scaring me.” She paused, glancing at the warrior’s paw pad as well. She was quiet for a moment. “Are you…doing alright, given everything?” Frostednight was such a hard face to read, even by Iceheart’s standards. It was hard to tell if she was bothered about the flooding that happened or if she was not bothered in the slightest.

Frostednight plucked out the thorn in her paw and spat it to the side before studying Iceheart. "The red on your paws. I meant you're a good fighter and attractive." Her multi-colored eyes stared with her guarded expression as she mulled over Iceheart's own. She had been clearly disturbed and upset by the flood and being separated by this Forestbreeze and Honeypaw. It wasn't a feeling she understood. Frostednight could have ended up anywhere and she would have shrugged her shoulders and moved on. Thankfully, she had no injuries, or perhaps she'd fare worse. "I am fine. I have nobody that loves or cares about me, here or wherever our clanmates are. Knowing I have nobody to look for means I just live anywhere." She went to start walking again, uncomfortable with saying so many words and having a full blown conversation with a cat that hardly remembered the words she did muster up the breath to speak, but she clung to her spot and kept her gaze fixed on Iceheart. "I know you are missing cats. You worry endlessly about them." Remaining dutifully rooted, Frostednight waited for Iceheart to respond, head cocked only slightly.

Iceheart listened to Frostednight, feeling a little distracted as she always was with her head full of thoughts—but that fog disappeared once Frostednight mentioned having no one who cared. Iceheart stared startled at the she-cat and Frostednight barely finished speaking before Icheart mewed bluntly, “What are you talking about? Nightstalker cares about you.”
She stared at Frostednight for a moment. Did she really think that there was no one who cared? Iceheart couldn’t comprehend it. Nightstalker was always so conscious about what his apprentice was up to—him not caring would appall Iceheart more than the reverse. “I’m sure if you’d been separated from the group, he would also be going mad with worry about what happened to you.”

Frostednight huffed - her laugh - and stood up to begin hunting again. "No, Nightstalker probably forgets I exist. And even so, one cat? Whoopie, I'm so loved." Her nose twitched at the though. As they continued walking, she scented for prey. Her social battery had run out, and she felt as if she made no leeway into creating more of a friendship with another cat - again - and she wanted to get this over with. Why even bother at this point? She was an unloveable cat and it would be well for her to recognize that now instead of pining over a cat that was too good for her.
Finally, a squirrel caught her attention and she broke away from the other ShadowClan warrior to hunt it. It sat at the base of a tree, nibbling on a seed or small nut. As quiet as possible, she stalked forward. As she was about to leap, an owl came slamming silently to the ground to steal her pray. Legs already loaded to spring, Frostednight pounced, claws out stretched. The owl didn't know what hit it and started shrieking and flapping its wings, dropping the squirrel in the process. It skittered away.
Frostednight hunted, -3 SP. She encountered a predator! Frostednight used Jumping Strike for 11 damage and used 7 SP.
