Tiny Tussle [C]

Blackkit stretched and yawned, Greenleaf heat finally getting her to rouse from her sleep. She blinked sleepily, in an annoying limbo of too hot to go to sleep but too hot to not be sleepy. She looked around with bleary eyes, searching for something to do. In the time it took her to do this, she managed to get immensely, tremendously bored. Had the nursery always been this entirely dull? Her claws began to itch for something to sink into. She got to her feet, hoping that maybe walking around would both wake her up some and satiate her buzzing need for movement. When that didn't work, she settled for her last resort: Dapplekit.

Dapplekit was fast asleep by their mother. Her fur was thinner than Blackkit's, so she probably wasn't as warm. Blackkit felt a little pang of jealousy of her sister. If she had to be awake, they both had to be. She unsheathed her little claws and pounced on her littermate. "Wake up! We're having a fight!"

Dapplekit was fast asleep dreaming of catching the biggest squirrel and being a better hunter than her sister. She was jumping from branch to branch, he claws digging into the rough bark with every jump. When suddenly she fell out of the tree with a giant thud, but the weirdest part was she was feeling something heavy on her. Coming to the strange conclusion, her eyes fluttered open as she saw blackkit on top over her. She faintly heard blackkit’s challenge and instantly jumped to her paws. “You’re on!” she needs throwing her sister off.

Blackkit yelped quickly in surprise when Dapplekit woke up, not really expecting her to come to her senses so fast. She was happy, though. Finally, a fight! And Dapplekit was a good sparring partner, too. The larger sister got to her feet after landimg on her side, claws unsheathed. Letting out a tiny kit rendition of a war cry, she charged at her littermate and bowled her over. She batted at her face, lightly scratching her fur but not actually getting to any skin. "Give up, Dapplestar! I, Blackclaw, am takin' over your Clan. An' there's nu'n you can do about it!"

Dapplekit smirked at her sister because as she pinned her, Dapplekit was already making a plan for how to win. She smacked her sister in the face, lightly, and using that as a distraction, she pushed Blackkit off. "Ha! I don't think so Blackclaw!" she mewed and aimed her unsheathed paw at her sister.

Blackkit blinked as she was smacked in the face and once again thrown off. She growled at Dapplekit. "Y'think that'll beat me?! I'm the most strongest-" She was cut off by Dapplekit's swipe at her, which parted her fur and juuuust grazed her skin. Blackkit jumped, but regained her composure quickly and charged at her sister. This time, her jaws were open and she bit Dapplestar on the ear. "Mo way I'm wettin' wou wawk away!" She growled through a mouthful of ear. This was fun. She always enjoyed fighting Dapplekit. Unlike everyone else in the nursery, she actually fought back.

Dapplekit didn't expect her sister to attach to her ear, but she let her sister nibble on her ear for only a second before shaking as hard as she could. The shaking would normally get her sister to release, but if that didn't work, Dapplekit would roll on the ground. Dapplekit smirked at her sister, challenging her to get more serious. "Is that all you have, Blackclaw!" She mewed as she had a challenging glint in her eyes.
