Temporary Roots [solo]

Crimsonflame had an odd feeling as he walked down the alleys of twolegplace. As if he was being watched. But everytime he looked up, he only saw brick walls. Was he going crazy? Paranoid, maybe? He was a stranger here, of course he was going to be watched, so why did this bother him so much?

And then he saw a flash of blue eyes, and his pelt stood on end. He had to be going crazy now. His father was gone, right? That couldn't be him.

The mysterious figure ran off, and Crimsonflame chased after. He had to know. He needed to find out if his father was really back. If he was, Crimsonflame would make sure the foxheart stayed gone for good this time.

But as he turned a corner, he found himself facing a large, silver wall. It had odd ripples, and seemingly no entrance for a twoleg to enter. It was with horror that he realized this was a monster den. It had to have been a trap. But where did the cat go?

Then he saw it. A flap, rocking slightly as if it had been disturbed recently. That had to be where the figure had gone. So that was where Crimsonflame would go too.

He was immediately greeted by the blue eyes staring at him, but they were not Dawnhawk's. No, this cat was a small white one, and it was clear she was afraid. Her fur was on end, and she looked like she might scream.

"Why are you in my home? Please, just leave me alone! I'm sorry I followed you, just don't kill me!"

For a moment, Crimsonflame didn't know what to say. He took a step forward, and the she cat flinched, scurrying back. But the poor thing had nowhere to run.

"It's ok. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm not going to hurt you. I just thought you were someone else. I'm Crimsonflame. What's your name?"

The she cat was silent for a while, before she finally spoke up.

"I'm Opal."
