Appearance: Adder is unassuming in all things, even appearances. His most notable feature is the ruddy shade of his body, a standout from his dark, nearly-black head, legs, and tail. But in all other ways, he hardly stands out from a crowd. He's tall and slight, like most WindClan-born cats, though his ears might be a little smaller and sharper than his Clanmates'. His amber eyes are sharp and alert, betraying the intelligence he tries to hide.

Personality: "Plucky, anxious, intelligent, Adderkit is one that most cats look over and disregard, and he tends to like it that way. Hating to be the center of attention, he often stays in the shadows, but this leads him to be picked on sometimes. In a fit of frustration, cats can do many things they regret…"

Adder has all the potential to be popular and beloved: he's intelligent, quick to learn, and one of the most loyal cats in the forest. There's an anxious, reclusive air about him that burdens him, though, keeps him from shoving into the circles of cats he isn't already familiar with. Which is just as well; he's content to spend his time alone, or with the few he doesn't bristle against coming closer. Prefers to spend his time alone, really (or convinced himself of it, at least).

Despite claiming to enjoy his self-imposed solitude, he burns with envy. For many things: for the cats popular enough to have their own flock of devoted friends and followers, for those bigger and stronger and smarter than him, for those with everything he wants. Despite his shy and quiet nature, he's petulant and thorny, especially when disregarded. He doesn't want to be important; he couldn't bear that. Noticed, at least, would be enough. And, when pushed far enough, he might lash out– Adder is true and loyal to all things important to him, and this includes his namesake.

With age (and companionship) he would soften, growing more comfortable in his own body and talents.
