Rosekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Frostgaze leaped up onto the Jaggedrock, wounds stinging under the strain of the leap. The Dark Forest had been valiantly defeated, by their own dead no less. Their victims had risen up in defiance of them, and they were defeated. Now, everything was more normal. Not the same, but at the very least, the clan could sleep soundly. With that, there was another act of normalcy, a new apprentice who had already shown her... bravery, or idiocy, to the clan during their battle. At least she would be enthusiastic. "All cats old enough to silently stalk in the shadows, gather in the shadow of Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Swiftheart sat at the base of Jaggedrocks excited to hear the familar words once more. She looked around wondering what this meeting would address and who would be getting their lucky day.


It was not super hard to guess ... but still she couldnt hold back the excitment taht was so usual for her.

Nightstalker padded out or limped out, his shoulder wound still sore and swollen from his fight with Fawnpatch. But he would not allow himself to miss any ceremonies, especially none of his siblings. The dark-furred tom sat next to his sister, calm and cool, especially compared to his sister.

Rosekit, upon hearing the call of Frostgaze, pried herself away from the queens that had the audacity to groom her. She liked her fur the way it was, why did they have to go and mess it up? At least whatever this was, it gave her a good excuse to get away. And what if it was for her? Oh stars, her littermates were well into their training, did she actually have a chance to follow? Well she would show them! She would be a better warrior than the three of them combined! And Echopaw would be the first cat whose face she would rub it in. He always thought he was better than everyone, well she would prove him wrong!

So Rosekit sat dubiously among the gathering crowd, her fur proudly sticking out at any and all angles. This would be great!

Leafpaw sat down outside the apprentice den, watching her sister.

As the clan gathered, Frostgaze begun the ceremony. "Shadowclan! I have gathered you here to witness the naming of a new apprentice. Rosekit, step forward." He waited a few moments for Rosekit to do so before he continued. "Rosekit, you have reached the age of six moons and are ready to become an apprentice. From this day forward, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Rosepaw. Snakebite will be your mentor, I trust that he will pass on his skill and new-found knowledge to you." With that, he leaped down, watching the young warrior meet with Shadowclan's newest apprentice.

Swiftheart watched as rosekit walked forward her fur sticking out in all directions. She couldn’t help but grin a bit seeing that… swiftheart was the same way in that regard her fur refused to cooperate and she didn’t really mind if it stuck out all over the place… her brother who sat next to her on the other paw seemed to always have neat slick pelt and was as his usual calm and cool during the whole thing. She squealed cheering as rosekit was named her new name and assigned to web. Web would be a great mentor for her indeed Rosepaw! Yay! she cheered her sister on.
