A Head Start [Open]

Able to slightly ignore her missing clanmates for the day, she took this as an opportunity to be productive. But not the ordinary hunt or border patrol, she needed something that didn't take much energy. The idea she had settled on was to visit the nursery and teach the new kits a few skills. That couldn't be too hard right? Cautiously climbing out of her nest, she brought herself over to the nursery. Maybe it'll be fun, she told herself as she ducked into the den that she once lived in. She certainly wouldn't fit comfortably now, being a full grown cat at this point. Comfreypaw felt sympathy for the queens who had to share this space with kittens who constantly rolled around and made noise. Maybe she could give them a break.

The she-cat convinced herself to smile, "Hello everyone, how is it going?" She looked specifically down at the kits, intent on their answers. Comfreypaw enjoyed talking with kits the most, maybe that's why she was so keen on spending her day with them. "How do you guys feel about learning some new things? Battle or hunting?"

Fool!

Comfreypaw had fallen into their trap! Shooting her siblings a nod, Eggkit launched herself out of the pile of moss they had gathered at the entrance of the den. They had taken time to mask her scent with weird leaves from the medicine cat den. She didn't smell like any of the kits! Her tiny pinprick claws buried themselves into the apprentice, and the kit hauled herself onto the cat's back. "Get her!" Eggkit called, playfully biting Comfreypaw's pelt, though, doing her best to keep herself from really hurting the other cat. Getting bit hurt!

Milkkit bolted out from behind her sister, cackling wildly. The identical kit threw herself onto a noticeably Eggkit-less spot on Comfreypaw's back, little claws scratching wildly for purchase. Unlike her careful sister, Milkkit didn't even consider whether or not her kitten claws would hurt- she started to slide back down Comfreypaw's side and dug herself deeper into her pelt to stay on. Little legs dangling above the ground, Milkkit barked out a sharp laugh. "I've got her! I've got her! You wanna battle, huh? Well, let's battle!"

Finally making a foothold on the poor apprentices flank, Milkkit batted at the back of Comfreypaw's head, all the while still giggling. Who knew violence could be so fun?

Waiting was boring. A lot of things were boring, but waiting was quite possibly the most boring thing of all. Older cats spent a lot of time doing nothing else, as far as she could tell, and she didn't understand it. Waiting was worth it only for the end result, and when the sound of a cat entering the nursery reached her ears, Nightkit realized that she could finally leave her hiding place a split second after Eggkit launched herself forward. Yes! Let's go!

"Don't you mean we've got her?" Nightkit dashed out from the moss alongside her sisters, though rather than digging her claws into the apprentice she simply flew forward headfirst, slamming into Comfreypaw's side. It wasn't that she was trying to hurt the older cat, and she figured that overall she was much smaller, so it was probably fine. She was too small to do battle training, so she was too small to hurt anyone. That made sense to her, anyway. "We're winning, right? I want to win!"

Nightkit used Headbutt on Comfreypaw, dealing 2 points in damage and costing 5 SP!

Safe to say she didn't expect the immediate bombardment of tiny teeth and and claws. At least two kittens climbed on her, batting her head, and another one ramming into her side. The needles in her skin weren't too painful on their own, but with the combined effort of attacks all over it was enough to alarm the molly.

"Hey! That's not what I meant!" she laughed, whipping around to try and reach the little enemies on her back. Unfortunately her paw managed to make contact with one of them, knocking the kit onto the floor. "Oops- Are you okay?" she rushed to ask the little black she-kit.

Comfreypaw used Front Paw Blow on Milkkit, dealing 4 damage and costing 5 stamina.

Eggkit squealed in amusement, ducking past the slow paw movement. Though, her ride ended shortly after Milkkit was knocked from the apprentice's back. Chest puffed out, Eggkit dropped from Comfreypaw and rushed to Milkkit's side. "Don't worry Milkkit, I know exactly what will heal you!" The kitten rushed to the side, grabbing part of the moss ball by their nest and rushing back towards Milkkit. "Say 'aaa'!" Eggkit instructed pushing the moss towards Milkkit's mouth. It was just pretended, of course! But it would be really funny if she ate it.

Milkkit blanched, knocking the moss ball out of her sister's hand. Did she thing she was dumb?! "Are you crazy!? Eggkit, I'm not eatin' that thing, get it out of my face!" Her sisters never failed to irritate her to no end, truly, but Milkkit wasn't sure if she would have it any other way. Now Nightkit was up, and so was Whitekit, her brother- this skirmish was starting to really get good! Turning to her brother, the triplet cackled and waved him over with a paw. "C'mon Whitekit, we've outnumbered her 4 to one! Of course we're winning, Nightkit!"

So much was going on, and it took her a little while to realize that the reason she had fallen off was because she had been hit- Comfreypaw hit her! Milkkit is just a little baby and Comfreypaw hit her! Gasping with betrayal, Milkkit backed away from the poor apprentice with the face of a cat scandalized. "Comfreypaw! You hit me! You weren't supposed to hit me back!" Summoning her siblings with a little twirl and war cry, Milkkit wailed "This is war! GET HER!"

Shadekit grinned as his siblings all charged at the apprentice. He joined in not having to be told twice.

He was full of energy and jokes too. He really could get confused easily though and was very easy to trick, he was so very naive though. He actually didnt know that Egg, and Night were two seperate kits...

He knew that he had siblings that were identical but so far he didnt realize that Egg and Night were two sepertae kits he only knew about Egg and Milk

he was not the smartest kit but he was adorable and loved his family alot but basically did whatever anyone told him even if it was a bad idea.

So when the order was given to get comfreypaw he giggled and charged at the apprentice.

"Rarrr Get her!" he giggled. as he pawed at the apprentice in a friendly playful manor.

Comfreypaw was briefly confused as another little black kitten with a white paw joined the one she was talking to, shoving a mossball into her face. Twins? she guessed, That's going to be confusing. The apprentice was tempted to ask their names, but the original black kitten- the one she knocked off- finally answered her question.

And she definitely didn't take it well.

"Oh I'm- I'm sorry," she nervously apologized to the appalled kitten. Her efforts were useless, as the she-kit ordered her peers to attack once more. Comfreypaw willed herself not to startle this time, not wanting to upset any more kits. Instead she steadied herself and observed their battle moves, trying to give the best feedback she could. That's why she was here after all.

One little kit attacked her more playfully, not as blood-thirsty as the first kit. He obviously was just here to have fun. Comfreypaw lowered her head to be level with the tom-kit. She spoke softly to him, "You're doing great, but if you really want to defeat your opponent, you've got to hit them where it hurts." The older molly shifted, subtly exposing her underside to the tom-kit. She smiled, "The belly is the most vulnerable."

Eggkit blanched as Milkkit pushed away the moss Eggkit was trying to feed her. "You could play along!" She huffed, sitting down where she had rushed over to help Milkkit. For a moment, she simply watched, seeing her many siblings join in the fight. Her whiskers twitched with amusement. Maybe, if she stopped, she would be seen as the most grown-up kit there was! The thought didn't last long, as her green eyes caught the twitching of Comfreypaw's tail. Eyes wide, she fell into a sloppy crouch. She couldn't help it! The tail was moving just like her sibling's tails did. A perfect prey--

And she leaped.

Nightkit listened as Comfreypaw gave them fighting advice, and without a second thought she dashed forward; trying to get underneath the apprentice and attack her that way. She batted her paws aimlessly, hoping she'd got the right target. "Like this?"
