Maplepaw's Warrior Ceremony

OOC: Since the 48 hrs since your request have passed, Fawnsong will be holding this ceremony

The sleek tom slowly approached the Tallrock, still unsure why he had to do this. As a kit, he would have dreamt about becoming a leader, climbing into that rock and holding ceremonies for the new warriors to come. But he wasn't that cat anymore. All he cared about now was to amend his mistakes and be useful to his clan by playing the role of the medicine cat. Well, some would say he was doing just that by replacing Goldenstar while she was taking her time to rest and heal. After a short sigh, he leapt towards the peak of the Tallrock and mewed: "Let all cats old enough to run the moor join beneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!"

Maplepaw blinked at the unfamiliar voice calling to the Clan. She knew that there had been a brief stint of illness sweeping its tail about, but she hadn't thought for it to have inflicted itself upon Goldenstar. Heeding the call, she took her place, looking up at Fawnsong with curious eyes.

When the sand-coloured apprentice made her appearance, Fawnsong cleared his voice and tried to took a more rigid stance. The tom could see the confusion on her expression so he tried to look more sure on himself to reassure her that this was indeed the day Maplepaw would become a warrior. As loud as he could, he mewed: "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has worked hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in return. Maplepaw, do you promise to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your own life?"

Her jaw dropped insurprise as it was her warrior ceremony. Truly, she felt special now to have it conducted by the medicine cat. Quickly composing herself, she sat with pride as it prickled through her golden pelt. A smile came across her maw as she confidently purred, "I do." She was doing her mentor proud, and wherever it was Mistysky resided... she sent a silent prayer that she would get to see.

A small smirk drew on the tom's face. He didn't know Maplepaw that well, but he was aware that the she-cat was Mistysky's apprentice. Deep inside, Fawnsong hoped the deceased warrior was seeing this, from wherever she was. His amber glimmered at the thought of her dead body, but he tried to keep his head cool for Maplepaw. This wasn't time to mourn. It was a day of celebration "Then from this moment on, you will be known as Maplespring. WindClan recognizes your optimistic attitude and tenacity in these dark times. As traditions says, you will sit vigil alone tonight. But now, we celebrate and greet you as a Windclan's warrior!"

The happy chanting of Maplespring's name soon began after his announcement. The medicine cat apprentice leapt from the Tallrock and though he was planning to go back to his den, he decided instead to approach the newly-named warrior. With a serious, yet truthful smile, he bowed his head to the she-cat. "I'm certain Mistysky is proud of you. Keep up the good work."

Maplespring couldn't help the rumble in her chest of joy as she heard her name announced. Closing her eyes and tilting her head up as the clan cheered, they'd open once Fawnsong approached. She dipped her head in return, respect as a deep bow of graitude from the new warrior. "Thank you, Fawnsong."

Lavenderpaw had gathered with the rest of the clan. It was curious to see Fawnsong at the head of the clan, calling them together for what seemed to be a ceremony. He stuck close to the den, not wanting to stray too far, lest he drew the attention of the Dark Forest cats that lingered around. In fact, his pale pelt was hardly ever seen within the camp. The apprentice often darted between the comfort of his nest and the entrance of camp - the less he had unwanted attention the better.

His tail streamed into the shallow scoop of the earth as his eyes lifted to watch the medicine cat speak. To his surprise, it was Maplepaw being called forward. Instantly, the tom's interest was peaked and his gaze darted to the pretty she-cat. He considered her a friend - she was nice and pleasant to be around and helped to teach him fighting when it seemed so overwhelming. A bright smile crossed his maw as she was named and for a moment he forgot about the vicious creatures that lurked in their camp, "Maplespring! Maplespring!"

Batsong purred quietly sitting on the edge of the crowd shyly... she hadnt met alot of her newer clanmates and the shy queen had lost alot of the cats she knew well. She wasnt good at making new friends as friendly as she was... she just was not good at talking having a stutter since kithood and being very reserved both contributed to this.

She was not good at making friends and was very good at losing them it seemed. She now had very few who she felt like she really knew well and this saddned her a bit...

She grinned as the new name for Maple was selected... Mapplespring... That was a great name! Beautiful really. "M-mm... mapplesprint!" she cheered with her clanmates.

Come on batsong....get to know them better... you need friends she told herself.

After the main rush and excitment was over from the ceremony, she shyly walked over to the younger warrior with a soft friendly expression. "C--c.a .a .. ... Cong.. Congratulations" she stuttered heavily tripping over the one word...

Sighhh come onnn why do I have to stutter so muchhh she groaned internally unpleased with herself... but there was nothing she could do about it and she had accepted that.

"T-..th--.that's alot of h-hard wo-rkkk" she said with a nod and grin, acknowledging the warriors accomplishments.

A new vision. Her apprentice growing up, becoming the warrior Mistysky had promised she would make her. She couldn't even hear what name was to be called. Silence was all she could hear, but the motions remained the same. It was curious that Fawnsong was the one holding the ceremony, though. Was this what the Dark Forest would turn WindClan to? Would a fate similar to hers fall to Goldenstar? If death were to be Goldenstar's fate, then there would be no StarClan to revive her...

Still, this was only a vision, was it not? And so, Mistysky called out to her apprentice, cheering her on. "Maple! Maple!"
