Fallowkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Shrikestorm climbed to the top of Tallrock, preparing to address the clan. "All cats old enough to run the moors gather at the Tallrock for a clan meeting!"

Fallowkit’s ears perked up at Shrikestorm’s call. The speckle pointed tom wasted no time in trotting forward towards Tallrock, bright eyed. All his other littermates had already been given their apprentice names— surely this time it would be his turn.

Blazepaw, as usual, darted from seemingly nowhere to the area around the Tallrock. Finally it seemed everyone in her “class” would be apprenticed!

Ryepaw seemed to come out of the shadow's and whispered into Blazepaw's ear, "You know, you could be a little less jumpy and a little more dignified." He smirked at the she-cat.

"Fallowkit, you have reached the age of six moons. From now until you reach warriorhood, you will be known as Fallowpaw. Coyotegrin will be your mentor."

Fallowkit-- no, Fallowpaw-- beamed as he was given his new name, and his mentor. Energy pulsed through his paws and lashed his tail from side to side at the idea of finally being allowed out of camp to explore the moors every one of his already apprenticed littermates seemed so moony about.

Ryepaw padded up to the newly made apprentice. "Congratuations Fallowpaw." he purred. "Coyotegrin is a good cat and I'm sure that he will be a great mentor." He flicked his tail. "You're finally allowed out of camp without an adult, it seem's like a good feeling doesn't it?" he purred. Ryepaw new this because he had the same feeling when he was a newly made apprentice.

Blazepaw approached after Ryepaw and grinned. “Congrats, Fallowpaw! We should totally train together!”

Ryepaw flicked his tail over the she-cat's back. "That is up to Coyotegrin and the mentor's Blazepaw." he chided her. "And besides, you don't like training with me?" he flirted.

Blazepaw rolled her eyes and playfully shoulder-bumped Ryepaw. “You know I love training with you! Just being friendly!”

Ryepaw rolled his eyes and grumbled at the she-cat. "Of course you say that Blazepaw." he smirked at her and then turned towards Fallowpaw, "if the mentor's agree we can train together I would love to train with you."
