stepping down from staff

hey everyone

i wanted to let you all know that i have made the decision to step down from the staff team.

there are many reasons for this but the number one being my own work/life balance. when i came back to wcc i told myself i would do it under the condition that i would prioritize other areas of my life. for a long time, this was not a problem at all but it has proven increasingly difficult the past few months. recent events have solidified this direction for me and i know it will be the best one for my mental health and day to day workload. i hope to spend more time with my wife and get to work on our house and yard and all the fun things put on the backburner in the midst of the busy life of staff.

i have to say that even though stepping down gives me great relief, it was really hard. what kept me going was all of you, the site, and it was hard to make the decision to prioritize myself because i love love this community and all the people in it. so id like to thank you all for the love and support ive received as admin. i hope to continue serving the good people of thunderclan as leader and continuing to roleplay with you all <3

The end of an era. You were amazing as admin and did so much to keep WCC running and active! I think everyone can agree that you should be proud of the changes you made, and your legacy as WCC Admin. You tackled the combat system that Sleepy and I straight up neglected due to the headache of it, and worked through the backlash it inevitably created because a combat system that is perfectly balanced doesn't exist. Still mad at the backlash from people that seem to have a lot of opinions but no real solutions >:(

I'm glad that you've made the best decision for you and your life. After all, WCC is a hobby, not a job. And anyone that wants to give you flack can 1v1 me in a pit. I look forward to rping with you on this site, and being a part of ThunderClan as Mistlepaw with you at the helm without the burden of adminship!

I'm glad that you chose your mental health over the site. Like, seriously. As a former moderator for Discord, I always hold the phrase "please focus on IRL first" to a motto. You've done a lot for the site that is amazing and will be remembered very fondly. We appreciate you completely. Truthfully.

Said it before and I'll say it again, IRL should always come first. Hardest part is admitting that you have to step down, but in the end you need to do what's best for you and your mental health. I appreciate all of the stuff you've done as part of staff, Ripped.

I hope that stepping down will be best for you, Ripped! You've given us some really great stuff on the site, including the brilliant battle system, and so you deserve some good rest and a break from all these responsibilities!

This was unexpected but I fully support your decision. You were an amazing admin and your legacy as such will prevail in WCC. However, real life comes first and I just hope we can keep roleplaying together. Love you ripped <3

this is late but thank you so much everyone for the kind words <3 it really means a lot. i loved my time on staff and am so happy that i was able to make an impact on the site. im excited to be around to rp, plot, and hangout with you all still!
