WindClan Camp - Nightfall
When Whisperkit gazed up at the sky, they felt a strange energy pulling at them. They stepped out of the nursery and perked up their large ears. With most of the clan gone to the Gathering tonight, it was especially silent. They listened carefully as breezes blew through the camp. Whisperkit swore they heard a few specific words: primarily "star" and "moon." Their gaze lifted to the stars and they frowned. What about the stars? What about the moon? They couldn't tell if it was a warning or an invitation. The moon was swollen and bright as it shone high in the sky. Gatherings were always held when the moon was fullest. Maybe that's what the wind meant.
As they gazed up at the sky, Whisperkit felt a happiness stir inside of them. They were too young to go to the Gathering, of course, but that didn't mean they couldn't enjoy the moon and the beautiful sky. The camp had a great view of it, after all, with no trees to block them out. The moon was a spotlight down on their clan, so big and close that Whisperkit felt if they leaped, then they could reach it.
They pondered for a moment before walking over to the apprentice's den. They peered carefully inside, knowing they weren't truly allowed in their until they had their own ceremony. A lot of apprentices had gone for the Gathering, along with the warriors, but inside was a familiar rosey pelt that immediately warmed Whisperkit despite the cold.
"Rosepaw?" Whisperkit called in a quiet tone, trying not to disturb some of the other slumbering figures. "Rosepaw, are you awake? Would you like to watch the stars together?"
