A cat immediately rushed him, causing his legs to buckle and him to roll. His wounds immediately stung, but Ares paid them no mind. Pain had never really been an issue, Ares hoped it didn't start to be now. "Pay with our lives?" Rising to his paws, Ares looked down on the clanner with disdain, disgust evident on his muzzle. "You can certainly try." He leaped, planting massive paws onto the tom, digging in his claws as hard as he could.

Hissing as the claws pierced her flank, Anastasia came to the sudden realization that she was losing. By a lot. Her father had said that they could retreat, if they were in danger, but... How would she be able to meet his gaze after? No, she would get the upper paw... No matter what. Darting behind the tom, she grasped his scruff in her teeth and shook as hard as she could, hoping to disorient him for long enough to deal some serious damage.

Within an instant, Anastasia was behind Smallbean, and she had his scruff in between her teeth. He thrashed as she shook him, any attempt to free himself unsuccessful. When he was released, his vision was shaky like it had been before, and he found himself struggling to stay on his paws. He turned toward Anastasia, but her silhouette was shaky too. He shook his head wildly in a desperate attempt to clear his vision, but it was unsuccessful.

Shrikestorm hissed angrily as the tom's claws dug into him, but he refused to break. He couldn't smack back immediately, though, stuck beneath the large tom and his digging claws. He had to try and escape, though. Staying beneath the great tom would only damage his attempts at victory. So he attempted to escape, but all he could do was hit feebly at his opponent. At least it was better than nothing.

He wouldn't let this clanner win, he couldn't!
