life’s like an hourglass glued to the table [Dispute]

On swift paws, Hyacinth made her way to where she knew some lone cat resided. Last it had been reported, just one single cat stayed in this territory on her own. Hyacinth was healed enough after the battle with ShadowClan, and she knew the Barn had to be a safe haven for smaller rodents during the winter. It would make a wonderful addition to the Forgotten Order’s territory, especially when some of them were still recovering and prey had been more scarce than ever. So, she’d set out, coated in mud to hide any sort of scent trail that might lead anyone back to camp… Just in case. Once the barn was in sight, she crouched low and kept a careful eye out, sneaking around the side and eventually slipping inside the old, dilapidated doors. Then, she saw the reddish-brown she-cat Torn had described to her. Quietly as she possibly could, she snuck forward, before finally leaping forward and launching the attack. There was no reason to reveal who she was or what her intentions were- that would only lead to trouble.

Hyacinth used Front Paw Strike and Dirty Trick, dealing a combined -14 Health Points and -14 Stamina Points.

Theron had been stalking along the floor of the barn, ears perked in focus of the mice that shared the space with her - eager for a quick meal. She had been planning to perhaps try to make nice with WindClan, perhaps catch a few extra mice and offer it to them in an effort to get some allies... Alas, she was so focus on the hunt and her plans that she didn't pick up the strange and sudden smell of mud and faint pawsteps that mirrored her own until the pawsteps grew heavy and claws struck her pelt. She let out a surprised yowl, the mouse she was hunting scurrying into safety as she spun to see a mud-coated cat (she-cat? Tom? She couldn't tell beneath all of the mud, their scent hidden by it). Her eyes were wide but her body acted on its own, suddenly springing into a launch as she landed on her attacker's back and dug in with everything she could managed with a startled hiss escaping her throat.

Theron used Leap-and-Hold on Hyacinth, dealing 7 damage and costing 15 stamina. Hyacinth is pinned for 1 turns.

Theron let out a soft hiss as the she-cat struggled beneath her, shifting her weight as the mud coated she-cat tried to roll so that she remained on top before finally she was forced to break away. She hopped backwards, tail lashing as she bared her fangs in a terrified snarled. She was still tired from the last attack, there had only been so much she could do to patch herself up and from little she had seen... She was starting to fear that she was out of her depth already.

Options raced through her head - she could flee now and keep what strength she already had. She would fight on - either she would win or...She would lose, and she couldn't be certain if the she-cat would be content to drive her off or... She grimmaced, liking neither of her options. Was her attacker from that... Forgotten Order group that had made a go at the barn before? No, it was a silly question - of course, if she was on her own, why cover her scent like that? But that action... It reminded her of the tales her father told her, claws digging into her wooden ground beneath her.

It reminded her of Asylum. Was that what this Forgotten Order would be a new Asylum if given the chance? A huff escaped her, eyes narrowing. ...Then she would fight - deal as much damage as she could and if she lost...She would flee, if only to give a warning to the Clans. She would not allow another Asylum to arise.

With a battle yowl, Theron threw herself forward at her attacker, striking out with everything she had to try to aim for whatever weak spots she could - hoping to give little to no opening for her attacker to strike back.

Theron used Front Paw Strike followed by Dirty Trick on Hyacinth, dealing 12 (7+5) damage and costing 14 stamina.

Hearing the she-cats fierce yowl, Hyacinth braced herself for impact, wincing slightly as claws tore into flesh and muscle. Dried mud flaked away from her pelt, bit by bit and piece by piece. Her scent was still effectively hidden, but more and more of her fur began to show. Hardly enough to identify her, however, as only a few tufts of ginger fur poked through. Eyes narrowed, she pushed forward on nimble paws, shoving the she-cat to the side and pinning her to the barn floor below. ”I have kits to feed. No hard feelings, hm?” Sarcasm intricately laced within her tone, she tightened her grip, trying to ensure she couldn’t escape too easily.

Hyacinth used Leap and Hold, dealing -8 Health Points and using -15 Stamina Points. Survivalist is active for Theron, causing her to only be pinned for one turn.

Theron stumbled backwards as Hyacinth pushed back against her, huffing as she was forced onto her back. Claws dug into her as she struggled to break free, her breath coming in gasps - she was already tired, she hadn't managed to heal properly since the last attack. She... She couldn't win this. She could already see the outcome - she was still rusty, injured... Her attacker was too strong. For a second, a growl started to rise in her throat before she cut it off and forced her eyes shut. Then, they sprung open as she fixed the she-cat with the best pleading look she could as she threw every ounce of energy she still had into a rather pathetic, terrified wiggle. "No, please! I don't..." she cried out, doing her best to sound terrified. Her best way to escape this situation was to play to her attacker - hopefully, she could convince her that she was a coward and not worth killing. She could escape, survive... Do...Do something. She just had to live. "N-No hard feelings at all, the barn is yours! I'll leave, I swear! I didn't..." Her breath came out in panic gasps, partly a rather dramatic show... Partly also because her escape 'attempt' was actually wearing it out. "I don't want to die, just let me go! I-I won't bother you again!"

Just as Hyacinth was about to lash out again, claws raised in the air and ready to strike, she heard the she-cat’s plea. Brow raised, she kept her claws unsheathed and eyes narrowed. Her grip tightened and tore further through her pelt, digging in and leaving deep score marks. ”I never intended to kill you. Prey is scarce, and I’ve got an entire litter of my own to feed. If your words are true, then go! Flee, and don’t dare come back unless you intend to make yourself useful. If you decide you’d prefer to stand with me rather than against me, then we’ll talk. Until then, I don’t want to see your face here ever again. Are we clear?” She growled, not loosening her grip until the she-cat showed she was going to scramble away.

Theron let out a yowl as claws raked down her side, wincing at the she-cat's words. She claimed to have no desire to kill her but cats could be tricky - if she truly let her guard down for a moment... But she could tell her attacker was much the same way but lucky Theron truly had no true desire to trick her. She did hesitate for a heartbeat the offer to talk but...No, she had no desire to bed down with these cats - even if her attacker had only started this to feed her kits, she knew she had more trust-worthy allies in the Clan themselves if they would listen to her. "Y-Yes! I-I won't ever come back here! J-Just let me go!" she wailed, trying to act as pathetic as she could as she continued her wiggling, trying to roll on her stomach so that the moment she was released, she could bolt straight towards the exit - knowing that the barn was truly lost to her.
