Pinepaw's Moonstone Journey

Pinepaw thought for a Moment, and Closed his Eyes, Opening his mouth. "Thank you, I'll hold onto this advice, I'll do my best, Cheer for me while you're up there." He said, Tipping his head down as if he were bowing to the Starclan cat. Snowflight's words bubbled in his head, Swirling as if it were a Twoleg stirring their Drink, He wouldn't forget the Knowledge he was given, And by Proxy, He wouldn't forget his Journey, The lessons he learnt, He realized that.. He wouldn't think about giving any of this up. Not for all of the clans. Not for all of the prey in the forests. Not for anything. Even if it was tough, He would never give his life up "You were Wonderful to meet." He said, Opening his eyes to look at Snowflight again, He smiled softly at the Starclan Cat, He was ready to wake up.

A wiser RiverClanner might have steered Pinepaw one way or the other—probably toward prioritizing his Clan, knowing how the most ancient stars tended to think. It was how Snowflight thought, to a point. But seeing the resolve on Pinepaw’s face, he couldn’t make himself regret leaving that part out. For better or for worse, that choice was one a cat needed to make on their own. Pinepaw gave a little bow of his head; Snowflight, rising to his full height, answered it with a nod and a flourish of his tail. “Will do.” Strangely, he realized, he meant it. Silvery fog swept in around them, then, curling over both sets of paws and turning solid like a sandbar. Snowflight’s pelt blazed with light, overpowering the petals he’d placed within it, drowning out sight and scent and sound. “Same to you, Pinepaw. Make us proud, all right?” he said with a flash of a smile—and as he spoke, he and StarClan faded to white, then silver, then nothing.
