Before Dawn [O]

Anastasia quickly shook the snow off her back and followed with the rest of her siblings quietly. Ares was right, staying together would be the best bet, but wouldn't such a big group draw a lot of attention? Even with the group of them, several of her siblings found luck, claws and teeth finding their targets and standing with their prizes. The spark of competition lit in her belly as she lowered her head, sniffing the ground. Some others had missed, but she wasn't going to be one of them. She refused to be. She realized suddenly that she wasn't entirely sure of what everything smelled like, but there was something this way that smelled different, appealing almost. She followed it, not sure how to go about crouching, but hopeful that the snow would help disguise her approach as her gaze landed on a small brown creature. She held her breath before pouncing, paws landing on the mouse and cutting off a squeak immediately. Her eyes widened as she slowly lifted her paw to look down at the still creature for a heartbeat before blinking and picking it up, her chest puffing with pride as she looked towards Atalante, Ares, and all of the others, her catch hanging from her jaws.
