As predicted, it wasn't long before Birdsong's paws slipped on the bloody feathers of the goose. Rearing up, she slammed her forepaws down onto the beast's head as hard as she could. That ought to disorient it and deal damage at the same time. She could tell the bird's struggles had grown much weaker between their blows, but while it was still alive and moving, her main concern was for Otterpaw's safety.
And maybe the goose would make a nice meal back at camp, too.
Birdsong used Upright Lock for -10 sp, dealing -12 damage.

Noticing that his mother had lost her grip on the bird, Otterpaw waited for her to deal as much damage as she could before darting forward and sinking his teeth into the bird’s neck. Blood began to seep into his mouth and the metallic taste coated his tongue, but he held tight until the goose finally stopped flapping its wings and went limp. He looked up to his mom, maw coated in blood. ”We did it, ma! We got it! I bet’cha this’ll feed the entire nursery! We gotta bring it back to camp so the elders, kits, ‘n queens can get it while it’s still fresh and warm.” He exclaimed, tail waving excitedly.
Otterpaw used Final Action: Killing Strike, draining the goose’s Health Points and using -10 Stamina Points. The goose is dead.

Otterpaw moved forward, clamping down onto the bird's neck. Birdsong had despised killing as an apprentice, but she knew now that it was something necessary. With how injured their foe had already been, it would either die when they left or recover and live to pick on whatever other cats it came across. Yes, much better that they made sure it was dead.
"You fought well." Birdsong purred, nodding at his assessment. "What's left of the feather will make nice nest-lining for the queens and elders, too." She added, leaning down to carefully lift the goose. It was a bit of an awkward thing to carry even with her height, but they'd make it work. She motioned to the fish that had been caught earlier with her tail. Riverclan would eat well today.
