What are the duties of a medicine cat? : Their main role is to take care of cats. This is usually healing wounds when a cat is injured from a fight, but they can also offer emotional support. They can act as the backbone of a clan, making sure the machine works well when all the cogs are at their best! They also help birth kits and collect herbs to use in medicinal practices. However, one of their most important tasks besides healing the living is talking to warrior ancestors and getting omens about what might come next. Medicine cats meet every half-moon to go to highstones, their own little private meetings to talk to each other and Starclan.
What would you do with this position? : Ebonyhaze is a bit lost at the moment, unsure what to do with himself fresh out of apprenticeship and no longer having much to work up to. Being a medicine cat would not only give him a task, but he would also be quite good at it. He has a compassionate, fatherly nature and is quite observant of his surroundings, which would make him great at finding herbs and clanmates hiding ailments.
Why you think you deserve this position? : I have been active for almost three months now, posting almost daily when I have things to respond to. I have never had a high rank in a clan before and I think a medicine cat is a good first high rank to start with. I also think being a medicine cat would draw me to be closer to the community as I would like to be a high rank no one hesitates to reach out to when needing a healing thread.
