Hailpaw didn't need to be told twice. He lashed out at the bird, his claws raking at its back and neck in an attempt to deal as much damage as possible. He stayed clear of the hawk's face, fearing the sharp beak, but he clawed as close to its neck as his trepidation allowed. If they didn't kill this oversized songbird, he was going to make sure it had second thoughts about attacking them again.

He wasn't a fighter, but it did feel kinda nice to protect his territory and a clanmate. It made him feel a little extra important to take part... as long as his victory was assured of course.
