Dovefrost sat just outside the apprentices' den waiting for Pheasantpaw to join him outside. He already nudged the apprentice awake a few moments ago. The white tom had a bundle of herbs place just in front of him meant for the apprentice he would be taking to the Moonstone today. The long journeys were starting to get a little tiring, but he still enjoyed letting the apprentices meet with Starclan.
Pheasantpaw emerged from the den, meeting Dovefrost outside. She spotted herbs on the ground near him. Herbs? Who are those for? she thought, still groggy from her sleep. In a few moments her mind cleared, and she remembered this was a moonstone thing. Slowly lowering her head she ate the leaves and stuff, having no idea what was really in it but also not really caring. If they weren't for her, well, too late. Hopefully that wouldn't leave a bad impression on Dovefrost. She flicked her tail at the taste, thinking it's what mousedung is like. It was not like fresh prey at all, which made the molly hungry, but she figured it would be rude or a hassle to keep him waiting. Pheasantpaw wasn't one bit excited to see Starclan, but she smiled at the medicine cat as if she were. "Ready," the calico lied, just wanting to get this over with.
Dovefrost watched a for a moment as Pheasantpaw ate the herbs, surprised she didn't really give up much of an issue about eating the herbs or complaining about going to the Moonstone.. At least not yet. Once she spoke that she was ready the tom stood. "Let's get going then."
It didn't take long for the two to reach the Moonstone, Dovefrost stepping inside quickly making sure the apprentice was following him without any issue. As soon as they reached the cavern, the tom made his way off to the side. "Press your nose to the stone, and Starclan will do the rest."

Pheasantpaw made the journey the Mothermouth with no trouble, same for entering into the cavern. She wasn't impressed by the big shiny rock called Moonstone but she was willing to give it a try. Kneeling down by the stone she lazily wondered when her next meal would be, heavily regretting missing breakfast. Touching her nose to the Moonstone she easily fell asleep, somewhat actually curious to see what Starclan was all about.

Starlight shimmered across both the night sky and the forest below as the apprentice appeared before the dark-furred elder. Nighthawk sat perched in a tree above, amber eyes watching the form of the living curiously. Thunderclan... She hadn't been expecting to interact with someone not of her own clan, but it seemed as though that was what she was here for.
"Greetings, Pheasantpaw." Nighthawk's voice was soft as she leapt down from her perch, landing lightly in front of the Thunderclanner. "I am Nighthawk, a Skyclan elder from well before your time. I suspect you have questions."

Pheasantpaw flicked her ears at the elder's voice. Holy mousetails, she thought in a somewhat surprised tone. She wasn't quite expecting it to not work, it's just... pretty neat. The calico's tail swayed at the Starclan cat's words, I can ask... anything I want, I guess. She thought about what she wanted to know, what questions she could ask. Lately the she-cat had been quite content with her daily routine, consisting mostly of eating and hunting. It was fun to move around, and food as a reward. Shaking her head she thought about what she originally wondered earlier, before she entered Starclan's territory. Facing... what was her name again? Right, Nighthawk. Facing Nighthawk Pheasantpaw dipped her head politely, returning the starry cat's welcome, "Greetings, Nighthawk." The molly decided to keep it professional sounding. "If you would be kind to answer, what's it like here? Is it peaceful here? Don't you have, uh, endless food?" she asked meekly.

174Nighthawk eyed the apprentice as she spoke, a soft snort of laughter escaping her at the questions. "Less eventful than the physical world, I'd imagine." She'd watched calamity after calamity befall the clans in turn after she'd died. Asylum was gone, and new threats had appeared in its' place. Such was the way of the world. "It's peaceful enough. There's no real fighting up here, and we can roam where we please, for the most part. I haven't felt the cold in some time." Her lips twitched into a grin at that. She'd never liked the snow. "Prey? Fresh-kill?" She tipped her head, eyeing the apprentice more seriously now.
"Look around you, 'paw. And think. What use do we ghosts have for fresh-kill?" She stepped closer, eyes lifting to meet Pheasantpaw's. "To answer the question, though, we do have prey... Not that there's a use for it here. It does add some life to the scenery, as ironic as that sounds."
