Prickletail had been assigned to patrol with Orangeheart. He didn’t know the older tom at all, just a glimpse of a very orange pelt from time to time. He rather thought he was brother to the molly who’d run out of camp crying one morning… Songpaw? Trillpaw? That would make his mother Robinloft… yeah, he’d better be nice.

Once Orangeheart appeared, Prickletail dipped his head, letting the older tom lead the way out into the territory. It was a pleasant morning, the dew still fresh and chilly. A bit of fog lingered on the forest floor, misty and white. “I don’t believe we’ve spoken before. I’m Prickletail.” As he waited for Orangeheart’s response, a skittering noise caught his attention. A mouse. With a flick of his tail, he dropped into a hunting crouch, eyes locked on the rodent. It never heard him coming, and with a swift pounce he pinned it by the tail, nipping at the spine.

With his catch dangling from his jaws, he trotted back to where he’d left Orangeheart. “There might be good hunting today, with the fog. Prey didn’t see me coming.” He scraped dirt over his kill and turned back to the fog, opening his mouth and trying to catch a scent.

Prickletail attempted to catch a mouse, catch was successful.

OrangeHeart was finally assigned a patrol it had been ages since he got to do anything at all besides sit around and looking for who he was assigned with PrickleTail wasn’t it? As he went out of camp it was easy to spot him so he just went towards him as soon as he picked out where he was PrickleTail dipped his head as to let him go first as he did.

As PrickleTail was done speaking and had a caught a mouse he replied with “As you know I’m OrangeHeart.
So how are things?” As he said that he caught sense of a bird near by and went for it.

“Things are fine,” Prickletail responded briefly, the scent of hare luring him into the forest. He’d messed up on that patrol, back when Appledapple was Applepaw, but he wouldn’t mess up now. He dropped into a hunting crouch, sighting the large creature… but suddenly, the unmistakable scent of blood hit his nose. Messily devouring the blood-stained hare was a large owl. Uh oh. Before the owl could react, Prickletail surged forwards, raking his claws down its sides. Fluffy down stained with blood littering the air as the offended owl struck back, sharp talons raking his side. Prickletail stumbled back, fire in his gaze. “Orangeheart!” He called, keeping his eyes on the owl. “We got an owl here.”



Prickle attempted to catch a hare, catch was unsuccessful and summoned a predator. Prickle used Jumping Strike and Desperate Blows, dealing 15 (8+7) damage and costing 12 (5+7) stamina. The owl, who wasn’t even doing anything wrong, is deeply offended and used Talon Strike, dealing 7 damage and costing 10 stamina.

OrangeHeart wasn’t sure if PrickleTail was responding in a nice way or a let’s get this over with way anyway it didn’t matter he would keep try to catch the bird he missed before(and kept failing) until PrickleTail shouted that they have an owl on there hands so he ran over to where PrickleTail was and without thinking jumped as high as he could and hit the owl

With a shrieking, bone-chilling call, the owl attempted to fly off, but Prickletail was faster. With a blur of motion he leapt onto the feathered form, latching on with sharp claws and doing what he’d been practicing on every piece of prey he caught. At first it’d made him slower, but as he practiced, the quick nip had become swift and lethal. After all, an owl was just a big bird. Prickletail sunk his jaws deep into the owl’s neck, blood staining his face. After a few more faint hoots, the owl slowly toppled to the ground, dead. Prickletail clambered off it, blood-stained feathers stuck in his fur and more of the scarlet splattered across his face.

“Quick work of that one,” he commented lightly, putting a paw on it. “I’ve heard down’s good for nests.” The young warrior drew a paw across his face, grimacing at the blood still stuck there. “I’m going to clean up as quick as I can,” he commented, sitting down next to the owl. “I can guard it so you can hunt some more if you like,” he offered, quickly beginning to groom his pelt. Ugh. All the blood and feathers, all stuck in his fur. It was going to take a while to clean off, that was sure. At least he’d managed to kill an owl. Appledapple couldn’t boast of that, now could she?

Prickletail used Killing Bite, killing the owl. The owl is very Ded and I am too lazy to write out the stats.

OrangeHeart watched as PrickleTail finished the owl off he offered for him to hunt more so he did after wandering around awhile he found a lizard and tried to hit it

OrangeHeart watched as he tripped on a leaf, that felt… bad he though He almost made another predator appear so he decided to call it quits.
