Dawnpaw's Moonstone Journey

Dawnpaw tilted her head to the side in confusion, wondering why, exactly, Blossomstep couldn’t reach Hawkuncle’s dreams… oh well. She had an inkling it wouldn’t make any sense to her no matter how well it was explained. “Well, you could maybe tell me and I could tell him? Or anycat, if you have anything to say!” She beamed. This was a smart idea, she knew it. She hadn’t seen Hawkuncle after the Gathering… but she was sure she’d see him soon. He couldn’t stay away forever, after all. Maybe he was busy… hopefully he was alright. She’d patrolled the border like he said so, but hadn’t so much as scented him… not that that said anything. He could’ve easily hidden his scent. And she wasn’t as fast as he was in trees… at least, not yet. She’d learned from the best, after all.

Blossomstep blinked once before smiling, nodding slightly. "If you see him again... Tell him I love him." She mewed, pausing before continuing. "Please don't go searching for him though, it's dangerous out there. Even the strongest warrior can fall if they aren't careful. As far as anyone else...." Her mind ran through possibilities before settling on one. "Please tell Beechface that she isn't alone, and that I will always walk by her side." She hadn't expected this opportunity to communicate with the ones she had left behind, but she was grateful for it. However, it was time to move on, the focus was Dawnpaw after all. "My wisdom for you, Dawnpaw, is to trust your instinct and allow yourself to see not only the good in a cat, but also the bad. Don't become blinded to a cat's faults because you refuse to acknowledge them, however, you also can't allow their faults to be your only definition for them. Every cat has their flaws, that's simply the way things are.... It's a fine line to distinguish, but a necessary one all the same. Perhaps everything could have been avoided if some didn't look at things in black and white, but instead saw the subtle shifts in coloration that makes life so beautiful. Sure, it's more complicated that way, but it's so much more fulfilling too."
