Hentooth shook herself, rising to her paws. She’d be taking an apprentice to the Moonstone tonight… Frostpaw. The young white molly deserved it- she’d helped Hentooth fight off an eagle, after all. The medicine cat glanced at the sky. Nearly sun-high… time to go.
Her sharp gaze landed on the somewhat familiar white pelt. She trotted over, laying the herbs before the apprentice. “I’m sure you know what this means. Eat the herbs, and let’s get, yeah?” Hopefully she’d be excited. Hentooth had been, and still was. There was something about meeting with StarClan… wisdom and power. She’d seen the power first paw. Wisdom… she hadn’t needed it, yet, but she was sure when she did it would come.
Having already eaten her own herbs, she led the way out of camp at a brisk trot.
Finally. Highstones. The last climb had left her a bit out of breath… she needed to shape up if a few pebbles had tired her. “Alright. When we get in there, you touch your nose to the Moonstone. It’ll be dark in Mothermouth, just follow me.” When any questions had been answered, she led the way into the darkness. Finally, they rounded a corner into the chamber, glistening with light. Hentooth gently nudged the apprentice forwards and loped to the side of the cavern, laying down. The stone shone brightly… what a sight.
