Frostkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"ShadowClan! Gather in the shadow of Jaggedrock!" Murkystrike's cry rang out over the camp as the moon hung high over their heads, silhouetting her form above the clan. It was time for yet another kit to join the ranks of the apprentices, and the concern she had moons ago had returned - they would need to increase the size of the apprentice den if this continued... And she'd also have to ask some warriors to take on multiple apprentices.

Frostkit wasted no time in poking his head from the Nursery and padding toward the Jagged Rock. He knew that he had to be around six moons of age by now, despite his shorter stature. It would be his turn to be apprenticed soon enough. For that reason, he had made his pure white fur immaculate, free of the mud that so often plagued him. His icy gaze set itself upon Murkystrike, filled with a small amount of curiosity. He was unsure if it would be him getting apprenticed, perhaps one of the other kits in the nursery, but there was no reason not to believe that he would finally have the opportunity to contribute to his clan.

The clan quickly gathered, Frostkit among them. She met his icy gaze steadily, a hint of a smile on her face as she continued. "ShadowClan, I've gathered you here today to witness one of our kits become an apprentice. Frostkit, please step forward." She waited a few heartbeats for the tom to do so before continuing. "Frostkit, you have reached the age of six moons and are ready to become an apprentice. From this day forward, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Frostpaw. Rosethorn will be your mentor." The she-cat had kept herself confined to camp for too long, she needed to get back out into the territory. Hopefully this would be the perfect way to aid in her recovery, as well as give Frostpaw a new perspective.

Of course. It was his turn, and Frostkit was prepared. He stepped forward with poise, and listened with his head held high, and shoulders back, and chest fur puffed out. Perfect posture, it was the only way to properly be made an apprentice. Any less, and Frostkit felt that maybe they just weren't mature enough for the opportunity yet.

Frostpaw was pleased to finally have a mentor, despite the fact he knew nothing about her. He would have to understand her, perhaps she was like him? Hoping for something like that though, was a far-fetched dream, and hope would accomplish nothing. Action would. If his mentor was unlike him, then he would train on his own in the way that would best help him, once he understood the proper form of course. Striding forward, Frostpaw tapped his nose to his mentor's, looking at her impassively. "I am ready to begin training when you are ready, Rosethorn." Respectfully dipping his head, he waited for any instructions his new mentor had to say, and padded away to the apprentice den, ready to prepare his new nest.
