What are the duties of a medicine cat? : To heal the sick and elderly, assist in births, serve as a sort of in-between for the Clan and StarClan, be there emotionally for the Clan, assist Moonstone journeys, gather herbs, and be a sort of adviser for the leader.
What would you do with this position? : Hen would be an interesting medicine cat. Her deep devotion to her siblings could easily drive her to become a medicine cat so she can heal them and protect them more easily. Sure, WindClan has a medicine cat, but if Smallbean's on the other side of the territory and one of her siblings gets wounded, having an extra medicine cat could be the difference between life and death. Even Hen has to admit that they probably have enough warriors to protect her siblings, but if one gets hurt, she'd be devastated if she couldn't do anything. Eventually, this drive to protect her siblings would expand to the rest of her Clan, as she has a softer side she keeps hidden, and would comfort cats in their despair. However, outside of her Clan... Hen would be the last medicine cat to go to for extra herbs. She's not a fan of other Clans for the simple reason that they hurt her cats. She will not stand for anycat hurting those she loves. Hen would definitely share all prophecies/omens/etc with her leader unless she feels like said leader will mess the situation up. She’d keep any knowledge of forbidden romances/murder/etc up her sleeve until the time is right- if another Clan attacks, she’d spew out everything she knew about said Clan, maybe making the leader second-guess things or any forbidden romance kits freeze in shock. Ideally, she'd become a warrior or at least nearly complete her training before becoming a medicine cat so she knows she can chase off the enemy before healing.
In summary, she'd be a medicine cat who isn't afraid to get her paws dirty but highly enjoys knowing she can save cats' lives, a slightly unusual combination.
Why you think you deserve this position? : I am a new member here on WCC, but am active. I haven't held any high ranks on this site before, but have held high ranks on other sites, and am familiar with herbs and other meddie things. I think having a "tough" medicine cat could help show the other Clans that WindClan isn't a bunch of hare-brains like many cats seem to think. Hen would be very outspoken in her dislike of this stereotype (even if it has some grounds in truth) and might even pick fights on purpose to change their minds. Either way, it would spice things up a bit.
