A Wolf on the Prowl [O]

Wolfkit didn't need Kestrelpaw to ask twice, quickly grabbing, positioning, and swatting the moss ball as hard as her little body could swat. It came up just a whisker length short of her first try, causing a tail lash in frustration, and a small huff. She quickly moved the ball back and towards Admiral as she heard his answer to whatever Kestrelpaw had asked. What? She was focused, not like she was listening. "Huh, twolegs sound weird usually, but the ones you were around sound at least kind-ish. Life is better out here though probably, we get to be totally free! Your turn!" Her words were quickly followed by her shuffling the ball over to Admiral, amber eyes wide with anticipation. She didn't really care about Admiral's past, but she did care how far that ball could go!

Kestrelpaw nodded at Admiral's short answer and choosing not to question further. The older tom seemed sincere enough so he really didn't mind the quick version Admiral chose to tell. Despite his intelligence, he'll never truly get how twolegs worked or acted and he doubted he ever will. He was sure nobody really knew. They were strange and many of them were quite dangerous. Despite his endless curiosity, the tom wasn't going to risk himself or others just for a bit more knowledge on the furless creatures.

The brown and white tabby shook himself from his thoughts as he watched the kit pass the moss ball over to the older cat. "They are rather weird things, those twolegs, I mean. Do you like it here better than where you used to live, Admiral? I agree with Wolfkit that being out here, free, is probably better than being confined in... wherever twolegs live. Seems kinda cramped and boring to me. The food's probably worse too." the apprenticed muttered with a thoughtful tilt of his head then shot Wolf a playful wink. Soon after, he nodded to Admiral that he could go ahead with his turn.
