Snow Melts off the Trees [c]

This time, Yew really wasn't looking for a fight. But it seemed it had bad luck with Windclan warriors. He was a bit further from the barn than he would usually be, and closer to the thunder path than he had been since the night he ran away. Spring was coming, he could smell it on the breeze; he had only ever known snow, but the idea of warmer weather sounded nice. Maybe he could finally ditch his fox pelt, which he only kept now to keep his nest warm, and refused to wear it.

He padded slowly towards the colourful field, excited to see which flowers were there. Even if he refused to be part of Asylum, he still enjoyed small, crafty things, and other pretty objects. A few blossoms would make the barn feel more like home. He didn't think he scented the border markers, but maybe his mind was too set on the scent of the flowers.
