Beechface stared up at the early-dawn sky for a moment, a tired sigh escaping her as she padded across camp towards the medicine den. Setting down the bundle of herbs she'd been carrying, Beechface poked her head into the apprentice den, dark gaze searching for Jaypaw's gray pelt.
"Jaypaw, time to get up." Beechface mewed softly. If she didn't move soon the medicine cat wouldn't be above dragging her out of her nest. There was little time to spare if she wanted to make it to highstones on time.
"We're going to the moonstone today. Eat these, they'll give you strength for the journey." Once the apprentice was outside the den, Beechface nudged the small bundle of herbs towards her.
