February Clan Meeting [SC]

Flintstar sat perched at the edge of the Jaggedrock, his gaze fixed upwards where high in the starlit sky, sat the moon. It was full - marking tonight as when a gathering ought to be. But, of course, Asylum had prevented there being one for moons now. But this time, there was nothing to plan for - to look forward to. This moon would pass by uneventfully and without notice unless something happened - which was why he had decided to call his Clan together. "ShadowClan! Gather in the shadow of the Jaggedrock," he called out as he finally tore his gaze away from the sky, settling down towards the ground to watch his Clanmates gather. As they started to appear, he cleared his throat and straightened up a little. "Tonight is the night of the full moon. While we cannot see the other Clans, I see not a reason we can't hold our own...Gathering of sorts. We must hold on to what makes us...Us and make sure we do not lose track of such things. So..." he paused, shifting on his paws. "Talk with one another, check up with one another. Let us forget our worries for a single night."

Mistyfalcon stirred from the edge of the clearing at Flintstar's call, tattered ears twitching in the leader's direction curiously. It had been a while since the last clan meeting, and that had been to appoint Ebonysong as deputy. Somehow, he didn't think this one would be as eventful, unless something was to finally be done about Asylum... Which he doubted Flintstar would risk anything so open as a clan meeting for. It was the full moon... And Mistyfalcon didn't really find himself missing the pre-Asylum gatherings the clan used to suffer through at fourtrees.

The lanky warrior slipped a bit closer, settling on the edge of the gathering crowd to listen to Flintstar. Dark eyes narrowed slightly at his next words; Mistyfalcon certainly wasn't one for idle chatter most of the time, but Flintstar did have a point. Some sense of normalcy might be what the clan needed, if it was only for a little while. Mistyfalcon turned his head, taking note of who was sitting around him, though he was, as ever, reluctant to start the conversation himself. On the other paw, at least among his own clanmates there were... almost a pawful of cats he wouldn't have minded talking to.

When Rookpaw heard Flintstar tell ShadowClan to gather underneath the Jaggedrock, the medicine cat apprentice immediately walked out, a smirk on his face as always. He didn't know why Flintstar called for the meeting, but he was excited to see what was going to happen. As the ShadowClan leader spoke, Rookpaw listened intently to see what he was going to say. A time for conversation... That sounds good to me. He walked over to Mistyfalcon, always willing to start the conversation. "Hey, Misty! You doing good today?" he said, grinning at his clanmate.

Spark watched as ShadowClan gathered at Flintstar's call. Despite Flintstar submitting to the Asylum quickly, it seemed like the spirit of their clan hasn't faded just yet. The ginger tabby, who was wearing his fox pelt today, sighed under his breath. His eyes turned to a black-and-white cat, one that he recognized clearly.

Rookpaw.

He didn't like the cat who Iniko tried to train to be a healer for ShadowClan. It did seem like Rookpaw did care about Iniko, but since the Standard Captain's death, the black tuxedo didn't seem to treat Asylum in a high regard. Even before Iniko was killed, he shouted at a now-Asylum Nightstriker in Tavora. Instead of being Asylum's ally, the black tuxedo chose to aling himself with ShadowClan. That will certainly cost him, the ginger tom mused.

Sitting down a couple fox-lengths away from the ShadowClan cats, the ginger tom listened to the ShadowClan leader speak.

Rookpaw is talking to Mistyfalcon. Spark is open to talk to.

Frogpaw had been keeping track of the moon’s stages, often when he couldn’t sleep at night, and he had noticed that the moon would be full. It would have been a gathering, and even though he typically found them overwhelming, the comfort of something familiar would have spurred him to enjoy it. He missed normalcy in his clan, the feeling of being watched was something that made his skin crawl. He enjoyed his privacy, and unfortunately, the Asylum took that away. His father’s voice called out, and reluctantly the apprentice slunk out into the open, sitting down near the rock.

A gathering, huh? That wouldn’t be so bad. Maybe he could find someone to talk to, to confide in. Or at least, complain about the Asylum to. The large tom wrapped his massive tail around his paws as his dark eyes darted around, looking for someone he could strike a conversation with.

Batglow perked up at Flintstar's call. The black lanky tom was honestly a little surprised at the call for a gathering considering what Asylum had wanted but it was nice to keep up something of a tradition even if it wasn't in the usual manner. It was a relief to have something of the clan life back. Something like this that couldn't be taken from them at least not yet.

The long fanged tom pushed himself to his paws, moving himself closer to the Jaggedrock. He noticed Rookpaw and Mistyfalcon sitting together before making his way over to the two toms he was close to. "Hello Mistyfalcon, Rookpaw. How are things going with the two of you?" He asked.

Ivory crept in around the edged of Shadowclan camp, her tail tip twitching with excitement. Her body practically vibrated, barely able to contain herself as a meeting was called. She didn't want to intrude, but she wanted to hear Flintstar as clearly as possible as well. She looked at the other asylum cats... and was dismayed at their bored expressions. How was this not interesting to them? Was the Asylum the only thing they would ever care about knowing? Her eyes scanned across the clearing and she spotted Mistyfalcon. She made her way slowly toward him, hoping sitting with him would be acceptable to do.

Quietly... gently... almost nervously... she set her rump to the boggy ground beside him and kept her eyes on Flintstar. She felt...good here. She felt like she belonged here more than she ever had at the asylum... was that wrong?

Well, this is a first. Clan meetings, or more like ceremonies, were something that Ebonysong attended to regularly, however a Clan meeting in replacement for a Gathering was definitely a first. The deputy looked for some familiar faces and spotted Mistyfalcon, Rookpaw, Batglow and...the Asylum she-cat Ivory. So far, none of them seemed really hostile towards the she-cat, but Ebonysong joined them just in case. Sitting down near the small group of ShadowClan cats, Ebonysong greeted them one by one. "Hello, Rookpaw, Mistyfalcon, Batglow and Ivory. How are you all doing?"

For a clan of relatively introverted cats, it didn't take long for someone to approach. That someone being Rookpaw. And, as introverted as Mistyfalcon tended to be, he found that he didn't really mind. The medicine cat had a good head on his shoulders, and was decent company, besides.

"Hey, Rookpaw." He said, giving Ivory and Ebonysong a brief nod as they joined. The rogue seemed to be more interested in clan life than most, so perhaps he wasn't as surprised as he might've been to see her sitting so close. She'd certainly managed to prove his own expectations wrong, which wasn't a bad thing, given the rest of her cohort. Were she a different Asylum cat, Mistyfalcon might've growled at her to go away, but he found that he didn't quite have it in him to do that to one of the few rogues who was actually friendly and helpful.

"You know, I think I'm okay if this is to be our gathering. It's less crowded and chaotic, that's for sure." Ebonysong's stories had been the one thing keeping him from bolting, probably, and the thought made his whiskers twitch slightly in amusement. He was no longer a shivering apprentice, and the next time they went to a gathering... if there'd be a gathering, Ebonysong would be among the deputies.
