Copperfox was short and stocky, which made him good at keeping his balance when fighting on the ground. He was also stronger, but Smokefeather didn't intend to let her former apprentice have an easy time at defeating her either. She continued to shove at him, though nothing that would leave any real damage behind.

Copperfox made just one error while trying to bring Smokefeather down from a lower vantage point... the fact that she could just squash him closer to the ground. Realizing that this would either make or break him, he tried to angle himself a bit to throw her off balance rather than just try to shove her outright. Keeping his feet spread apart evenly, he waddled stiffly to the side and tried to throw and pin Smokefeather to the snow.

Smokefeather gave Copperfox the smallest of nods of approval as he adjusted his strategy. She kept herself turned to face him, sheathed paws swiping out in response to his own movements. Copperfox was smaller than she was (not that Smokefeather was particularly large under all the fluff) and she used that to her advantage now. It wasn't long before she had her son pinned in the snow.

"Well done." She mewed softly, stepping away so that he could stand back up.

Flowerthorn looked up at Ashstorm actually surprised that the warrior approached her. Well.. to be fair the pale she-cat didn't really have an issue with the other, but considering Flowerthorn's stance on everything.. It just seemed Ashstorm wouldn't have been fond of her. She shook off her slight pause rather quickly before answering in the way Flowerthorn knew how.

Carefully the smaller warrior tackled and pinned the other to the ground but not quite strong enough to where she couldn't escape if she wasn't interested in the spar. "You willing to take my challenge?" The experienced warrior ask with a slight grin. It was nice to unwind this way just a little but after, it was back to being on guard.

Copperfox thought for sure his strategy would work. He thought he had adjusted well enough that he could get the angle he needed. Unfortunately for him, that was not the case and his mother's experience won out over his strength. His balance was tilted off and he dove straight into the snow. Copperfox picked up his head and spat out some of it before getting to his feet. He grinned at his mom and his tail tip twitched. He hadn't won, but it had been an entertaining experience nonetheless.

"Too bad my legs aren't longer. I would have squished your back toes." He said jokingly. He leaned into Smokefeather to give her an affectionate but gentle last shove, just because. "I'll sit on the sidelines and watch now I think."

Ashstorm smiled when Flowerthorn pinned her.  She new that the point was to not get pinned, but, although she got the wind knocked out of her, she quickly gained it back and slid out for under the older she-cat.  Ashstorm rolled and stood back up.  She quickly turned around, unable to hide a smile although she pretended like she was trying to pin a predator.  She leaped forward, attempting to pin her also.  She got a good leap and thought that maybe with a little more strength, she could actually do it.

When Honeycomb heard something about a "warrior games", she knew that she wanted to join. Despite being pregnant, that wasn't going to stop the fun-loving spirit in the pale ginger-gold she-cat. At first, she had wanted to spar with Tigersong, but didn't spot her brother. Then, she started to look for Dawnhawk, but he was sparring with his sister, Primroselight. Almost giving up and padding back to the warrior's den, Honeycomb suddenly spotted Redfall, her father. And future grandfather of my kits. Wait no, shut up, brain. We can't think about that right now. Practically running towards Redfall, Honeycomb smirked. "Hey Dad. I've come to challenge you." Barely giving her father any time to react, Honeycomb pounced at him.

Primroselight was glad that Dawnhawk took her challenge on, and tried to root her paws to the ground by digging her claws into the frozen earth. However, she did quickly sheath them when they started to tumble, just incase one of them accidentally flew at his eye. She would be fine to make the tom bleed in a few places, but one slip-up would not go down well. She felt his paws wrap around her shoulders, and she rolled over onto her back, but carried on turning. They both wanted to win too badly for it to be over quickly.
