Explain your Plot: Eaglekit of ThunderClan was born with an innate desire for freedom, to explore the world and seek all that is has to offer. However, in the current time, Asylum is standing like a wall between him and those desires. Those he loves live in fear of their tyranny, the leaders of ThunderClan seem remiss to act out, and for good reason. The forces of Asylum are vast and powerful, and every clan cat lives underneath the weight of their claws. They're determined to control ThunderClan and forever kill Eaglekit's desires...and he will not allow that to happen.
Stage 1: Revalation IN PROGRESS
Eaglekit while playing does something to upset an Asylum cat, and for his 'crimes' gets treated roughly by this cat. Stunned and scared by this Eaglekit backs off and runs away, but the encounter leaves a profound impact on him. He begins to realize what the Asylum's presence means for his life; with them in camp, they could never truly act of their own free will, and this does not sit well with him at all. Anger and resentment towards Asylum start to build up within him.
Stage 2: WhispersEaglekit is apprenticed, becoming Eaglepaw. This change in status and the ability to finally leave camp (even with an escort) only helps to fuel the ideas he had been forming in his mind. In a moment where he thinks he has secrecy, Eaglepaw begins to express dangerous concepts to his friends, family, and others. His plan is seemingly very simple; ThunderClan as a whole should rise up against the Asylum cats in their camp and drive them out, regaining a foothold to control their territory. From there they could gradually work to liberate the other clans, and they could all work to push Asylum out once and for all. Regardless of his clanmates' reactions to these ideas, one of these conversations is overheard by a member of Asylum. All involved in this conversation are confronted and given a warning, however, Eagle's convictions are still as strong as ever, and he begins to think of new ways to rally his clanmates.
Stage 3: RebellionEaglepaw goes about his business for a while, seemingly taking the warning to heart. With the knowledge he learned during the conversation and confrontation he approaches cats in secret who seem open to his cause and ask them point-blank if they want to join him in rebelling (they will be asked off-screen for the sake of time). I would guess most of these cats would be younger, even apprentices like himself (depends on who signs up). Once he gains at least some cats to his side he would arrange for them all to meet in the night, away from the prying eyes of Asylum in a secluded corner of the camp. During this meeting they discuss plans, and Eaglepaw once again brings up his original one; rise and conquer. However, after seeing a lot of the reactions during the conversation he knows now that it's much easier said than done. So, he also raises another idea; a small group of them could find a way to escape ThunderClan, escape the territory altogether, and go ask the Tribe for help. He remembers hearing stories about them from the elders and guesses that they would be too remote for the Asylum to have conquered. After talking through their options the group comes to some kind of conclusion, and decide to head back to their nests. However, the group failed to notice the eyes in a nearby bush; they had been overheard.
Stage 4: MartyrThe onlooking Asylum cat reports Eagle and his group to Eris. Every cat involved in the group including Eaglepaw is dragged out into the clearing and accused of treason in front of ThunderClan. Eaglepaw tries to step forward and put all the blame on himself, asking that his friends not be punished by lying, saying that he threatened or blackmailed them into following him. Whether this works or not is up to the rper; regardless of if Eagle is able to spare his group from the same fate or not, it is decided that he will be removed from ThunderClan and taken away to an undisclosed location. At first Eagle acts like he has accepted this and goes along with them, but before they leave camp he turns on the Asylum cat(s), attacking them. He calls out to his clanmates, pleading for them to not give up on their freedom, and to not let the Asylum keep them in their cage. It is not a call to rebel; more so, he just doesn't want them to lose sight of their true spirit, to forget what it means to be warriors. He is pinned to the ground by Asylum and dragged out of the camp before being attacked in turn, his face brutally scarred before he is knocked out. Eagle is taken away, but perhaps his actions awakened the same sense of hope in his clanmates...maybe his dream could become a reality.
To see a life outside of the Asylum's walls...a life of freedom.
How will this impact the characters/clans involved?: This would be the first of many character arcs I have in mind for Eagle, this one definitely being the most wide-scale and sensational. Ideally, a lot of ThunderClan would be involved, and rpers could choose if their character would agree or disagree with Eagle's radical actions. This could send ThunderClan's relationship with the Asylum into a potentially dangerous place, with ThunderClan starting to become discontent or the Asylum tightening their grip and control. If it could be worked into the main plot in some way to help staff along in a way that includes individual character choices that would be super cool, but since I don't know what staff has in mind for this plot that may not be possible.
Provide links to relevant topics: A grave reminder (part of Stage 1)Why should this plot be approved?: This plot should be approved because I think (if it doesn't interfere with any unknown sitewide plans) that it could add a lot of excitement, member interaction, and meaningful character development for the cats of ThunderClan and Asylum. It would give Asylum a chance to flex their power, and show one clan the extent they will go to in order to hold sway. Plus, rebellion plots are usually super fun for everyone involved, even if this one is doomed to "fail". On my end, Eagle was made with the idea that he could be a rebel figure in this age of Asylum, and with his personality, it fits perfectly that he would try something like this; in fact, I think it would be
out of character for him not to.
