Petalkit is exploring the camp . She is lonely but she,s used to it since she,s normally alone. Open.

"What are you up to, kit?" Carpsplash grumbled as he noted her presence. With the Asylum takeover, he found himself increasingly less content. Their eyes over his shoulders was a constantly burrowing tick. Or maybe there were actual ticks too. Having been an elder for so long, he was used to the constant complaints of his physical form. However, while he wasn't much for play, the elder had grown a soft regard for kits over the moons.

Petalkit says just exploring camp. Petalkit believes the cat is a elder and knows not to be rude.

"Did you find anything exciting yet?" He muttered, regarding her through a half-lidded gaze and straightening up. Old bones creaked and moaned in protest but the former warrior ignored them. Something else came to mind as Carpsplash's stomach rumbled, "Would you want to grab us something to eat from the freshkill pile?"

Petalkit says not yet and I don,t see why not, walking to the fresh-kill pile and coming back with a trout in her jaws.

Carpsplash nodded in a silent appreciation and tugged the trout close with a sharp claw. Dipping his head, the elder sunk his teeth in and swallowed back the familiar taste of fresh fish. It took a moment before he realized that none had been offered to the kit. The grayed, brown tabby pushed it back with a forepaw and tipped his head, signaling for Petalkit to take a bite. As she did, he meowed, "Nothing exciting, hm? Fancy a story from your old elder? There's not much else to keep me busy these days.. especially with the smelly brutes that try to accompany on my walk. Anyways, my time is better spent here. What do you say, kit?" He realized he hadn't asked her name but decided to wait before piping up again.

Petalkit takes a bite and says I would love a story.

Dewkit appeared, barreling out of the nursery, her fur puffed up from the grooming she had just escaped from. She ran a ways before trying to stop near the center of camp, but her clumsy legs failed her in spectacular fashion. The sudden attempt caused her to roll paws over head, completely covering her newly groomed pelt with bits of reed and dirt. She finally came to a stop against the hind legs of Carpsplash, and she looked up at him with wide, awed eyes. In the next heartbeat, she had sprung up, a purr rumbling in her chest. "Hi! I'm Dewkit! Who are you?" She mewed, turning to her denmate. "Oh, hi Petalkit! I hope I didn't interrupt!," the kit exclaimed excitedly, almost bouncing on her paws as she did.

Petalkit says it,s okay Dewkit. The story hasn.t started yet.

Something collided with Carpsplash's tailless rump and he straighten up in and instance with his head stretching into the air and a soft snarl instinctively rumbling from his chest. Quickly, he figured out it was a kit and after a mild glare, the tom tucked back in comfortably. Such things were understandable when the little creatures bumbled about on uneasy legs but it was a shock none the less.

"Surely you've both heard the tales of Sunningrocks... how they have been fought over for ages." The elder mumbled between bites of his prey, diving back into it and decidedly shaking away the incident from a moment earlier, "Long ago the river passed on the other side of Sunningrocks and it slowly eroded away the earth, carving a new path, as water does. Thunderclan took this as an opportunity to claim it as their land even though it was rightfully Riverclan's. Foul bunch of fish-brained thieves. " He trailed off, muttering lowly to himself and not even thinking about the fact that teaching kits to say 'fish-brained' was perhaps not wise.

"Even so valiant warriors of Riverclan have fought to keep it ours. Several seasons back, I fought myself! Ivystar, ancestor of our current Ivystar, lead the charge and we took those turtle-hearts out!"

Dewkit listened, eyes wide in amazement, her spirit untouched by the glare she had received. "Wow...." She whispered, imagining the fierce battles that must have taken place, as Carpsplash had spoken of. Would she someday fight on those rocks as well? What did the rocks even look like? They must be beautiful, to fight over them so fiercely.

Petalkit listens to the story, which she thinks is amazing.
