Honeykit and Tigerkit's Apprentice Ceremonies

(Hope you don't mind me doing Tiger's ceremony too, since otherwise I'd just have a thread of me replying to myself lmao!)

"Let all SkyClan cats gather before me for a clan meeting!" Wolfcall yowled.

It was almost time to go home. It seemed like ages ago that they left their territory. Long enough that even Redfallal's half-rogue kits were now old enough to become apprentices. That fact still tasted bitter on his tongue whenever he thought of it, but if he was being honest, Wolfcall knew they needed the paws, and half-SkyClan held at least half value.

Today, he'd be making apprentices of two of the kits from that litter, and all there was to do now was to wait for them to gather here.

OOC: Course I don’t mind!

Honeykit heard a very very loud call coming from outside the nursery. Curiosity fighting away her exhaustion, the ginger kitten took one look at her brother next to her and jabbed at his side. “Come on! We have to see what’s going on.” Without another word, Honeykit padded out of the nursery, before sitting in the crowd, staring up at the deputy. She still didn’t know what Wolfcall thought of herself, and her siblings, but this might just be the chance to find out...

It didn't take long before most of the clan had heard him, and joined the meeting. The two kits he sought were sitting side by side, staring at him with the bright, curious eyes of kits. He wondered how much they knew about clan life, even now... if they would prove themselves to be true SkyClan cats despite their half-heritage. He found himself judging them more seriously than he would have otherwise.

"Honeykit, Tigerkit, please step forward."

The tom did first, hesitantly, with an over the shoulder glance at his sister, who followed.

"The two of you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to become apprentices. Honeykit, from this day forward, until the day you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Honeypaw. Your mentor will be Redfall." Hopefully, an apprentice would keep his wandering paws within SkyClan's ranks.

Tigerkit, from this day forward, until the day you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Tigerpaw. Your mentor will be Bloodstrike."

Bloodstrike had taken a few moments to answer Wolfcall's call for a clan meeting. Ever since the fox fight, he actually found himself able to sleep, oddly enough. His shoulder still had nasty puncture wounds on it but they were healing nicely thanks to his daughter. Bloodstrike's pelt even almost looked clean and like he cared about his appearance again. Almost.

It had been awhile since his last apprentice. Sweetpaw had disappeared shortly after the fire. It was a pity. He had a soft spot for her and wanted to see her succeed so badly. Bloodstrike heard his name be called and his eyes landed on Tigerpaw. Redfall's kit.... Rogue blood. It was an odd feeling for Bloodstrike.

On one paw, it was his friend's offspring that he cared about quite a bit, despite the altercation between him and Wrenspring. On the other, Bloodstrike held a deep contempt for clanless cats. His experiences with them had never been good. Still, Bloodstrike got to his paws and approached Tigerpaw.

"Well met, apprentice." he spoke to him softly before he leaned down to touch noses with him. Bloodstrike wuld reserve judgment of the half rogue tom for now. Wolfcall had given him a job to do and he intended to do it to the best of his ability.

Redfall had been lacking when it came to caring for his kits, to say the least. That said, this was their apprentice ceremony, and he wanted to be there for it. The tabby sat at the edge of the others, fur prickling if anyone looked at him. He was curious as to who Wolfcall would pick. Probably stricter mentors due to Honeykit and Tigerkit’s heritage. His neck fur stood straight up as he was picked as Honeypaw’s mentor. Two apprentices, one of them his own kit. I really don’t understand the reasoning behind that. This is going to be a bit awkward, isn’t it.

He strode towards Honeypaw as Bloodstrike was picked to be Tigerkit’s mentor. Decent choice there, anyway. Redfall looked down at the golden she-cat and felt a pang of rue. It was Sienna’s pelt, down to the dark tail-tip. A name from Sienna as well. He bent down and touched Honeypaw’s nose. “Training starts now if you’re ready.”
