Herbs:

Mothglow stalked out of camp with a barely-audible hiss - a sound that so rarely escaped her that she startled herself for a moment. She brushed it off, taking a deep breath as she made her way to the deep marshes. She did need to stock up on herbs, after all, even if this little excursion was mostly an excuse to leave Flintstar and his thoughts, the things she didn't understand however hard she tried, back at the camp. She wanted to think, and she wanted to come to her own conclusions...

And, mostly, she wanted to build up the nerve to apologize. She knew the moment the words had left her mouth that she'd gone a few steps too far, but she didn't want to take them back. Didn't want to offer up an apology that wasn't genuine.

So she would gather herbs and navigate the deep marshes of ShadowClan's territory until she could actually apologize for what she had done.

Trying to sort through her feelings while searching for herbs was certainly an ordeal, but it was the sort of thing she was long since accustomed to. It was difficult for a medicine cat to get any peace at all unless they left the camp on their own, after all, and gathering herbs and hunting prey were the only times she could really manage it. Sometimes she'd tag along on a hunting patrol, but more often she'd go on her own at times like this.

Something caught her eye as she wandered, carefully stepping from marsh-soaked stone to marsh-soaked stone. A few stray willow leaves marked the presence of a willow tree, and she set about gathering bark and leaves as carefully as she could.

Setting the bundles of leaves and bark that she'd managed to gather aside, telling herself she'd remember to fetch them later, she kept walking. Step by step, stone by stone, focused on moving forward. Still, she couldn't keep her thoughts from bubbling to the surface: how was she meant to apologize, when she still didn't think she was wrong?

This time, the herb that caught her attention was a small cluster of ragwort; and she once more spent a short time piecing together a sizable bundle before carrying on.

Now, as the distance both physical and mental from her earlier conversation began to sink in, she realized she had likely misinterpreted Flintstar's words. She wouldn't claim to understand him - stars, no, she couldn't even begin to imagine how he processed his thoughts - but she was pretty sure he wouldn't just brush off a cat's supposed death. Particularly that of his own kin. In her own anger she'd let herself be distracted from what he was actually trying to say...

Thinking back, it seemed that he wanted an explanation most of all.

Carefully, she gathered her bundles and began making her way back to camp. She had herbs to sort and an apology to deliver.
