Emberspark stared at a huge, plump squirrel. He edged closer to it, nose wrinkling at the acrid Thunderpath stench. Paws creeping forwards carefully, he suddenly tripped under a tree root and fell flat on his face into the mud. The squirrel waddled across the Thunderpath, into ThunderClan territory. Emberspark barely noticed. All he could think was my Clan needs to be fed. It was dusk, and monsters were less and less frequent. The warrior barely paused to check both sides before he was thundering to the other side, intent on the squirrel. Tail lashing in triumph, he made a few huge bounds and caught the squirrel, bringing it down and giving it a killing bite. He dropped the squirrel when he heard the snap of a twig, and then the rustle of a bush. Emberspark scented the air. Oh, ThunderClan. Not one cat, but two. Joy. This would not end up well for him, would it?

Quailpaw sniffed the air as he and Rosepaw walked through the forest. It was nice to be training with other apprentices and even better to be on a patrol with no warriors. Quailpaw stayed closely behind Rosepaw, letting her lead. A scent touched his nose. A strange scent. It smelled like a cat but different. Worried that it was something as dangerous as the dogs, Quailpaw ran towards to source of the scent and tackled it, unaware that it was a cat.

Rosepaw scented a cat by the Thunderpath. Frowning, she lead Quailpaw to get a closer look. What she didn’t prepare for was Quailpaw tackling the intruder. “Wai—“ Rosepaw sighed, not really wanting to fight. “ShadowClan? What are you doing here?” She mumbled, before diving underneath him and giving the cat a few scratches. Rosepaw didn’t want to injure him seriously, but she needed to give him the reminder to back off.

Rosepaw used belly rake, costing 10 SP and causing 7 damage.

The two cats erupted from the undergrowth. Quickly analyzing them, and realizing they were apprentices, Emberspark thought oh, maybe this won't be so- and then something crashed into him, another little shape darting under him and making sharp pain erupting from his belly. He decided to take the one out under his belly, who was causing him more pain, and dropped onto her back. His large weight allowed him to stay on easily, and he pummeled her a few times on the back. He wanted to yell at them to stop attacking him, but he was on their territory, so... whatever. Fleeing wasn't an option. If ThunderClan apprentices could beat him, he really needed to train more. Adrenaline gave him a new burst of energy, heart beating so hard he felt it was going to burst out of his chest.

Emberspark used Leap and Hold on Rosepaw, dealing 9 damage and costing 10 stamina. Rosepaw is pinned for 1 turn. Emberspark cannot be hurt while using this move.

Rosepaw struggled underneath the warrior, his larger form leaving her unable to get up. Finally, the smaller, nimbler apprentice slipped out of his grasp and she spun around to face him once more. “Impressive move. That won’t get you out of trouble, though.” Her honey-brown eyes flashed dangerously. Rosepaw had had enough of being pushed around.

Rosepaw is no longer pinned.

Fur spiking angrily on his pelt, Emberspark regarded the two apprentices with something like annoyance, borderline frustration. "Trouble? You think you can give me any trouble?" Almost amused now, the dark tabby flipped himself over and slid under Rosepaw in a smooth move, claws flicking up to draw two identical slashed at her belly. Before the smaller cat could do anything, he was out again, rocking back defensively. He didn't enjoy battle, but there was an unmatched adrenaline to it too.

Snarling in fury, Rosepaw winced as she was hurt from the ShadowClan warrior’s claws. She was exhausted. ”You...crossed the border...first.” Rosepaw panted, blood pouring out of her wounds. Struggling to keep her eyes open, she stumbled backwards, falling onto the grass. Her whole body ached. ”Quailpaw...let’s go. He’s not worth...our time.” Gasping for breath, she watched Quailpaw, seeing if he would back away or charge towards the warrior. ”Don’t think this will be forgotten.”

Quailpaw watched as the Shadowclan warrior attacked his denmate, taking her down. "Rosepaw!" He turned around furiously at the Shadowclan cat. "Don't think I'll ever forget this Shadowclan warrior." He hissed before turning to Rosepaw. He helped her up, allowing her to lean on his shoulder.
