Denial (Smallbean Plot) [Forbidden Romance]

Plot Name:Denial
Clans involved: Windclan, Thunderclan
Characters Directly Involved:  Smallbean(cotton), Wildpaw(Sal), Crowspirit(Falconwing), Cedarheart(Deer), and illegal babies (as of right now Falconwing and TheaOfSunflowers)

Will there be code-breaking?: Yes; Smallbean will become lost in grief for Larkflight, meet Cedarheart at the border, and accidentally have kids with her

Explain your Plot: Smallbean has been superdepressed since Larkflight died, and he hasn't been coping with it very well.

Ever since Larkflight has died, Smallbean had been sinking deeper and deeper into a state of unhappiness and depression. He blames himself for her death by telling himself that if he'd been faster to get Aspenheart she might have made it. He's almost never in camp and is constantly going on patrols and walks to distract himself, which is giving him a slight limp due to overworking his body. Wildflower and Crowspirit have been beginning to worry about him, and decide to approach him about it. Smallbean reassures them that he's really okay, but only to keep them from worrying. Wildflower and Crowspirit may react how they like.

Smallbean starts going on midnight walks more and more often, causing him to get even less sleep and making him feel even more tired. One night, near Fourtrees, he runs into Cedarheart. Smallbean makes it clear that he doesn't want a fight, and tries walking away. Cedarheart instead quickly starts a conversation with him. Cedarheart manages to cheer him up a bit, and they even get along. After a bit of conversation, Cedarheart gets him to promise to meet him again the next night.

Smallbean and Cedarheart continue to meet every night, and this makes Smallbean gradually grow happier. Apparently, it's become noticeable enough for a few cats to see the difference in his personality. Wildflower has been noticing Smallbean's nightly disappearances. Growing curious, Wildflower decides to confront him about it. Smallbean of course denies their suspicions and tells them that he's only been going on walks to help him get fresh air and feel better. Wildflower is still very suspicious, but drops the topic for now.

A few days pass and Smallbean is still meeting Cedarheart at the border. Since Cedarheart still has their suspicions, they try following Smallbean. Sure enough, they find Smallbean at the border talking with Cedarheart. Smallbean and Cedarherat seem to be having a conversation before Cedarheart becomes nervous all of a sudden. Out of nowhere, they confess their love for Smallbean, when all the while Wildflower listens from the bushes. Smallbean is surprised by their confession, but accepts their proposal of love even though he really only thought of them as a friend. Wildflower can either ((A; confront him on his way back and Smallbean convinces them to not tell, or ((B; they keep to themselves and decide to not tell anyone.

Smallbean meets Cedarheart at the gathering. They chat for a bit before Cedarheart seems uncomfortable again, and quickly pulls Smallbean behind a bush where nobody can hear them. Cedarheart tells him that they're pregnant with kits, and Smallbean is shocked. He knew he wasn't ready to be a parent to another cat, and quite frankly he didn't want to be. He puts on a smile and acts excited, but comes up with an excuse to exit the conversation. He attends the gathering for the rest of the night.

Smallbean has been stressing about Cedarheart almost all the time. He knows that he wont get in too much trouble if Raventail finds out (might be -star when this happens? Not sure what raven's opinions are when it comes to this but oh well.) He takes time to think about what to do and after some time he figures out what to do. He goes to meet Cedarheart again that night, bracing himself. It takes some time, but he finally gets out that he can't do this anymore, and that they should stop for themselves, their clans, and their kits. Cedarheart may react how they like] (they also have the choice on whether or not they'll release who the father of their kits are as well)

How will this impact the characters/clans involved?: It will either strengthen the bonds between small and his family or weaken them, depending on whether or not that's he's the father to those kits comes out, and where. Both Small and Cedar will have major developement, and there will be a litter of half-clan babies in TC.

Why should this plot be approved?: I believe that this plot will hopefully help strengthen Small a bit (because he's more fragile than glass) And help him realize that love doesn't last forever. It'll teach him that he should worry about the present, not the past, though grieving is still normal. That will hopefully make him finally be over Larkflight. Cedar will learn quite a few things. The first will be to slow down, and to use her head more. She will learn that romance can be unstable, and that she needs to make better decisions sometimes. The experience will help her connect to her family as she realizes that those cats truly care for her and love her.Probably a very generic reason, but like i said above it will give all of the characters major developement, mainly Smallbean, Cedarheart, and Wildpaw. (maybe the kits and Crowspirit too)

Hi! As per the new plotting rules (here) , there will be a few changes you have to make in order for this plot to be approved.

Firstly, we are asking for 2 topics to be included in forbidden romance proposals that include meaningful interaction between the two in a non-romantic setting. That should work out fine, given what you have explained about the plot.

I also wanted to ask about what this plot would mean for Cedarheart. You've done this well for Smallbean, saying that he will learn to live in the present and that love won't last forever. If you and Deer could put together a few words for what the plot will mean for Cedarheart, that would make this a fantastic application. This is more important for the two main characters in the romance, so I won't ask you to be so specific for the other characters involved.

Once you have two topics for staff to look at, give one of us a heads-up and we will take a second look at the application. Please let us know if you have questions about the new rules, as they're new for us as well.

edit: I completely forgot to mention this, but it would service your plot well to find out the feelings of both Oakstar and Ravenstar regarding something like this by PMing Cays and Rhindon, since I know that Oakstar has recently changed his views due to the sitewide and Ravenstar is a brand-new leader. Even if it doesn't affect the outcome of the plot, it's helpful to know what your characters are in for!
