Practice makes perfect (closed)

Making his way through the woodland territory, Sunflower let out a sigh. He'd made a complete fool of himself at the gathering and now that he thought about it... that gathering had been a disaster in general, with those StarClan cats and what they did. But today, he wanted to try and not bother on dwelling on all that had happened and instead tried to distract his mind by going on a hunting patrol. Since he was alone, it would hopefully be easier, seeing as though it was just him and his thoughts, with no cat to come between that. Not long after his journey through the base of the trees, the lengthy tom caught the scent of prey. Crouching down as far as his abnormally twig-like legs would let him go, he stalked forward and soon enough, spotted an oblivious bird nibbling on its breakfast.

Stalking forward, Sunflower waited a few moments, his haunches wiggling back and forth in calibration. Just a little longer and then he'd have something to bring back to camp, or so he prayed.

Pouncing, the tom's big paws landed squarely onto the bird's feathery back. With a swift bite to the neck before it could let out a squawk of shock, he'd successfully caught a piece of prey. 'Not a bad way to start the morning,' he thought to himself, wishing every time he hunted he'd been this successful. Well, at least his clanmates would see he'd been successful when he returned back to camp.
