In Hard Times [open to apprentices]

Moonhigh in ShadowClan was apparently quite different than Moonhigh in other clans, as Tanglepaw had discovered. ShadowClan spent their toiling hours at night, under Silverpelt. The other clans had the silly idea of hunting and fighting and living during the day, which the little apprentice regarded as entirely foolish. For the current hour, while ThunderClan was all tucked up in their nests, ShadowClan had taken a break from patrols to share tongues. At least that was forest-wide, even if it happened at different times. Tanglepaw liked how different ShadowClan was. Their differences made them strong.

Marching forth from the camp entrance, the wild-furred she-cat made a beeline towards a mass of apprentices eating and reclining after an evening of training. It had been a quarter-moon since the Gathering, and she was tired of everything being so weird. Everyone was acting weird, and it was boring. As StarClan was her witness, the apprentices were going to have fun. She stamped her feet to get their attention. "Everybody is stressed out, and it's stressing me out, and it's stressing our mentors out, and it's stressing Flintstar out," Tanglepaw growled. "No more stressed-out. We're playing mossball. Who's in?"

Laying on her side, back turned towards the approaching Tanglepaw, Redpaw craned her neck towards her fellow apprentice, meeting her gaze when she demanded everyone's attention. Flicking her plumy tail, she listened to her denmate's reasoning, and with a small smile, pushed herself to her paws.
"Oh, what the heck, I'm in."

Truth be told, she needed a reason to get her mind off of her disastrous first Gathering, and playing with her Clanmates was a perfect way to forget her troubles for a while.

Viperpaw was just finishing up her meal of a frog when Tanglepaw made her declaration. The fluffy apprentice's eyes lit up, and she bounced to her paws and hastily discarded of the remains of her dinner. Although the reminder that her brother was stressed out was not welcome to her ears, she was more than willing to overlook that and focus on the game, which was the entire point. She padded over to her two denmates.

"I'm in, as well."

Eveningpaw made her way over to the group, at first she was going to have something to eat but... This seemed so much better. The fluffy medicine-cat-in-training (or Medicine cat apprentice) proceeded to hop over, right past the fresh kill pile towards Tanglepaw. "Hey, you think you're all stressed? I'm a medicine cat.... Apprentice... We depend on Starclan... Most the time, certainly not now... Nevermind! I'm in!"

Briarpaw was simply lazing away, taking comfort in the shadows that the moon cast down upon camp. She much preferred to spend time alone, away from all of her annoying siblings and such. Today was one of the rare days where she found herself in the middle of camp, grooming her thick and fluffy fur in an attempt to tame it. Lifting her head at the sound of Tanglepaw's voice, she had to stop herself from rolling her eyes. She hadn't played mossball since... Since Thornstar had died.

Shaking her head, she got to her burly paws slowly. "I suppose I can join in. Only for a little while though, as I've got better things to do than spend my entire night playing kit-like games, but one game won't hurt." Standing next to Viperpaw, she waited to see how the rest of her denmates would split up, perhaps into two different teams, like they did when they were all kits.
