As the colder months moved in, so did Peaches.

The young tortoiseshell absolutely despised snow. It got stuck every where and it was cold and when it melted it became water and got you soaked--she hated it more than anything else. So when the upwalkers graciously offered her a place inside, she couldn't refuse. At first, she was wary of the upwalker; sure, it left food and water outside for her, and occasionally watched her eat, but she had never been so...so close to one. She often spent her days cowering in the corner or hiding under the big soft thingy, and swiping at anything that dared to risk sticking their hairless paws too close. 

Eventually though, she began to venture out of her comfort zone. Peaches gradually made herself seen at different times in the day, briefly, until she was comfortable enough around the upwalkers. She could even let the upwalkers stroke her during feeding times! After adjusting to this change, the she-cat decided to become a full time inside cat. Sure, the collar was a bit uncomfortable, but it was something she didn't mind too much. She'd miss outside, and with the growing sense that she wouldn't return to the clans, she'd miss her friends, too. Otterpaw, Night, Leaftwirl...she wondered silently if they'd ever forget her. Change was a part of life, though. It was a part of life she'd have to accept.
