The flow of infants shall not stop

Ravenmist wasn’t sure if this was a blessing from StarClan or a curse.

She and Daisyflame had learned, over a moon ago, that yet another litter of kits was on it’s way. And, after the birthing process, the queen found two more healthy kits at her paws. At least she hadn’t had a sick, or, StarClan forbid, stillborn kit yet. Part of her couldn’t believe the odds, these little ones being her fifth and six kits, and third litter. Stars, she still seemed so young. How many seasons had it been since her warrior ceremony? Surely not more than five or six.

But she could worry about that later. Calling her mate in, she began to groom the little ones clean.

After yet another moon or so, his beloved mate, Ravenmist was ready to kit, her belly full once more. Neither of them knew how many kits, what gender they were, or even what they would look or act like, but none of that mattered. Daisyflame was proud of the she-cat and overjoyed at the news, no matter how many kits they had or if they were all toms or she-kits.

Sitting by Ravenmist's side, he'd grown used to the process and made sure to keep quiet until they were born, and it wasn’t long before two she-kits squirmed about, looking for warmth and food.

”StarClan has truly blessed us again,” the large tom mewed, nuzzling his maw against his mate’s fuzzy, black cheek. ”Tulipkit and Rookkit, I think those fit nicely, don’t you?” it brought so much joy to him to see both kits looking like him and his mate, they were almost identical to each of them.

Having been born just moments ago, the newly named Tulipkit squirmed around, wanting nothing more than to be dry, warm, and drinking her mother’s milk. The little kit was a wily one, meowing and squealing about, and her parents didn’t know it yet, but she would certainly be a pawful...

Rookkit was larger than her sister and squirmed hard to get to her mother's stomach, crying loudly for the milk. Without knowing, she had somewhat shoved her sister aside in her haste. She would become a bit of a pawful as well once she was older, and her and her sister would become a force to be reckoned with.

Ravenmist nodded, chuckling as she gently nudged Rookkit closer to her belly, righting Tulipkit as well. ”Those names sound beautiful, Daisyflame. They’re going to be a pawful, I can tell already. They both have your thick fur and spirit.” She twitched her tail, curling closer around the kits. “We did it again, wouldn’t you say? It’s starting to get hard to keep track of who’s who!”

"We sure did," Daisyflame mewed, his wide smile stretching between both his ears, a purr trailing after his words. "A black she-kit that resembles you and a white and ginger she-kit like me... they're perfect. StarClan... it makes me so happy and proud to see our family grow so fast and strong. You truly did amazing, Ravenmist," the large tom mewed to his blind mate, his fluffy tail gently waving back and forth as he spoke.
